LUNA.
i gasped, jaw dropping at Killian's news. "and you said yes to her?", i asked, not convinced that he actually had been asked to the dance after ditching Wednesday. he nodded, "yeah. i hate to say it, but yes, i said yes to Bianca." "oh my gosh, this is amazing. you know how much she's been crushing on you lately?", i told him with a teasing smile plastered across my lips. Wylie and i were both still in our dorm, doing last minute preparing while Killian crashed here since he needed help with his look.
"okay, what exactly are you wearing?", i asked, clapping my hands together. he held up his white button down top and white slacks. on the floor, he had his white sneakers, and he had placed a light blue necktie on my bed. "cute."
"cute? is it that bad?", Killian asked tiredly, slumping his arms. "i really don't have anything else to go with the theme."
"we could let you wear a cooler. isn't the theme climate change or something?", Wylie joked but she stopped seeing Killian's desperate face. "okay, i am definitely one to talk."
she held up her white long sleeve top with a ribbon around the neckline which was covered with silver rhinestones. her face scrunched looking at the clothing in her hand, "i hate it. i would have preferred a suit, but this is the only shit i can look decent with.", she said.
Killian laughed, "you wanna swap?"
"uh, no thanks. if i wear that, i'll look like a five year old boy named Andy."
i laughed at that one as i checked how i looked in the mirror. suddenly, the image of my grandma popped in, scaring the shit out of me. "grandma! geez, give a warning if you're going to call me. i could have been changing."
"well, you're acting like a bitch witch today.", grandma said back, stroking her black cat in her lap. "anyways, i heard it's the Rave'N tonight. your mother is absolutely going feral about it back home."
"yeah. she sent me a really nice dress.", i told her.
"how about Killian? what's he wearing?", grandma asked, looking over to my cousin who gave my grandma a grim line on his mouth and held up his outfit, "i look like a toddler named Andy, grams."
"oh, that's adorable.", grandma cooed, making Killian groaned out loud and collapse into my bed. Wylie laughed from the other side of the room. "oh, how are you and Xavier, dear?"
"we're actually going together to dance. Killian's got a date too.", i told her. Killian mumbled into the pillows, voice muffled. "he;s going with Bianca Barclay."
"Gabrielle Barclay's daughter? i thought you two hated each other."
"oh, we're friends... with friendly competition. you know, we even see who's faster in finishing their lunch?"
grandma nodded with a genuinely concerned face, "okay, you do you, i guess. well, i'll call you again next weekend so you can tell me everything that happens later. bye bye now."
"bye, grams."
the sun had just set and night had fallen. Killian had left to go pick up Bianca from her dorm, and i was left in the dorm with Wylie, both of us waiting for our dates. "i'm nervous as fuck right now, like i'm not kidding, my fingers are becoming cold.", i said, rubbing my hands together, checking myself one last time in the full length mirror near the front door.
Wylie stood beside me, checking herself out as well. she had styled her top to make it less girly than it was. she still kept the rhinestone bow though, said it was like a man's bow tie. she had layered the top with a white blazer, wore a white mini skirt, black stockings, and white chunky ankle boots. to top of her entire fit, she slid on white sunglasses on her head to hold back her curled hair, and wore big silver hoop earrings. where the hell did this girl find all these amazing clothes?
