"Dude, stop freaking out. You look fine!" Niko was worse than a girl when it comes to appearance. We are getting ready to go to the mating, and is putting pit stains on every shirt he trys on.

"I just want to look good. I mean, she is a pure blood, you cant get better than that." He rushed over to his closet and tore off his shirt and put, yet again, another shirt on.

"That is a nice shirt Niko, now come on! We're gonna be late. It would be much better to look 'decent' rather than perfect, than be late, so lets get a move on." He looks fine, he really does. He has a pair of blue jeans on, and a blue button up shirt. I don't mean to sound gay, but blue really was his color. It made his blond hair stand out even more than it already did.

"Okay, lets go... Is Riley ready?"

"Yes, he's been waiting out in the car for about 10 minutes now." Riley didn't really care about finding a mate. He is the 'I'm just using you to get my rocks off' type rather than the 'forever and ever' kinda guy.

"Okay, lets go. I'm ready for this." He said as he walked out and got into the car.

"Dude, I'm so not ready for this!" Niko was sweating bullets. I reached over and sprayed some axe on him.

"Niko, the worst that can happen is she say no. And if by chance she is able to resist your charm, then life will go on. No biggie. No harm done." He looked at me with doubt in his eyes. I have a feeling this isn't about finding a mate, but making his parents proud. The boy really needs to take a step back and realize that his parents are more than proud of him right now.

"Your'e right... No harm in just asking for her hand. Wow... that just sounded so mundane."

"Dude just relax! The chicks love you! Why shouldn't this one?" Riley said. He did a little hip thrust and winked. The boy may be dumb some times, but he sure knows how to lighten the mood.

Niko took a deep breath, and we were all finally getting out of the car. The building was huge. It was tall, and made of grayish blue stone walls. It had a weird feel to it, you could tell it was really old. It had that kinda Gothic look to it. This building was usually used as a club, but I guess they rented it out or something.

We walked inside and the scene changed completely. There wasn't that dark feel to it anymore. It was lit up with bright lights all around. It reminded me of an older ballroom, but with more of a modern edge to it. Its a three story building, and the floor was glass. You could see people below us talking and laughing with others. I look up to the third floor, to see if it was also glass. Turns out it was like a one way mirror, I guess that was to keep the pervs from looking up girls skirts. Great... now I feel like a perv.

The room we were in was a splash of color. Obviously, the party director couldn't decide on just one. Although, they did a really nice job at making it look good. There was food all around us, and a bar to the right, with a pretty little bartender serving some drinks. I think that's were I'll end up before the night is over.

The lights dimmed, and an older man took the stage (spot light and everything). I thought that was a little over dramatic. "Ladies and Gentlemen, you are all here to watch as my daughter chooses her mate. You all know that once she has chosen, we will be willing to join packs. Although you must know, that she isn't just looking for a mate, but her soul mate. I know this is very unlikely, considering it hardly happens these days, but she will have a decision by the end of tonight. At my daughters request, she has asked that she not be known. There for you could be talking to anyone in this room, and not know the difference. If you have any questions, you can come to me, Robert Sheldon. So, let the mating begin." He stepped off the stage, and started talking to an older woman.
