We Know

It was after the weekend and it was on a Tuesday, Bella was at work as she had an alert on her computer that someone had an appointment with her. She got up, walking downstairs to where Harry was waiting "Ready?" He nodded, getting up. Bella opened the door as Harry walked upstairs with her. They got to her room, and she closed the door after Harry walked in, sitting down "How are you doing today?" "I'm doing okay." "I'm really happy to hear that. I know we're not together anymore, but I still need to check on you." "I know, Bella, but since we're still friends, want to have lunch together?" "Sure, you're my last patient of the morning until lunch time, so I can drive to Tesco, and we can go and sit in the park." "Where are you staying?" "Brighton City Central Premier Inn." "Come and stay in the spare room, you know I offered, but you walked out." "Harry, we're single people now, I don't know." Bella felt tears spring up in her eyes.

Harry stood up and sat next to her "Harry, I don't know what to do, I either stay with you and have Maisie think I'm a stranger and no longer her mummy or I stay in the hotel, what's best?" "Come back home, we'll stay friends." "I don't want to be just friends." "I know, and I'm sorry this didn't work out." "It worked out for 4 and a half years, and now this happens." She felt a tear slip down her face, getting up, walking up to the window and wiped her face "Bella, what's wrong?" "Listen, I didn't want to say this but I am going to say this, but with my mental health and also with work, and it goes to you as well. It might not work, it worked but the connection broke." Harry walked over to her, and turned her around "I want us to work, but I don't know at this point." "Let's talk over lunch." "Okay." Bella looked up at Harry and Harry looked down at her.

It was at 12:30pm, and Bella walked downstairs with her jacket "Taylor, I'm going on my break." "Alright, lovely, be back by 2:40 for your next appointment." "Okay." She walked out and she walked to her car, getting in. She drove to Tesco, pulling it into the car park as Harry called her "Hello?" "Bella, are you on your way?" "Yeah. I'm right now going to Tesco and then I'll be on my way." "Okay, I've got a blanket in my car with my food and some snacks already." "That's fine." Bella got out of the car and walked into the shop whilst on the phone to Harry.

When she got what she wanted, and got to the park, 25 minutes later, she walked into the park where Harry was sitting on the blanket with everything out. Bella put her bag down, and sat down in front of Harry, putting her food and drink on the blanket "How have you been?" "I've been okay. I sat at my desk while doing an online appointment with tears in my eyes. Since Sunday, it's been so hard to live without you." "I know, Bells." Bella nodded, looking down at the grass and began to pull at it from the roots and threw it back on the ground, "Bella stop it, please." She kept doing it. Harry grabbed her arms, pulling her hands away, and pulled her into a hug. Bella hugged him back and started to sob into his chest. Harry stroked her hair slowly, and held her close to his chest as she cried. 

Harry began to rock her until she was calm "You okay?" She nodded, "I'm sorry, I needed to do that." "It's okay, you're allowed to cry in front of me." "I don't like crying though." "I know, Bells." "You don't know, breaking up with people has always been hard for me, when my toxic ex girlfriend, Laura broke up with me, I was a mess, and I didn't talk to anyone for weeks, for days, until I reached our for help from you and you came straight away and helped me." "I know I did." Bella looked at Harry, and sat back on the blanket, being careful to not scuff up her black jeans for work. She sat on her bum, looking at Harry. Harry opened his bag, leaving it open for Bella to pick and choose between what she wanted "You can put yours in there." Bella put her food in the bag too.

Bella looked over at the leaves on the grass behind her, and she got up, "What are you up to?" "Nothing, close your eyes." "Okay." Harry shut his eyes as Bella walked up to him and sat down on his lap, and leaned closer and placed a soft kiss to his lips. Harry opened his eyes slowly and pulled away "I'm sorry, but what now." Bella got off of his lap as Harry pulled her back into his lap "Stay, it's okay." "You're probably uncomfortable." "I'm not uncomfortable, don't you worry." "Okay, if you're sure." "I'm sure, stay or you can sit in between my legs." Bella got off of him, and moved to sit in between his legs "Can we go back to how we were?" "You know what, of course we can, you loved what we had." "Harry, I did." Bella looked up at Harry and smiled. Bella smiled up at Harry and covered her face with her hands.

Harry looked down at her and placed a kiss to her forehead "You okay?" "Yeah. I have one more appointment at 2:40 and then can you come and pick me up?" "Of course I can, and then we can get your stuff and bring it back home and then we can cuddle after we get cosy." "I'd love that." Bella made a weird noise and then started laughing. Harry started laughing at Bella's giggles "What did you take? You're so hyper after crying." "Shut your mouth. I didn't take nothing. I had a coffee before I left, so you probably tasted coffee on your lips." "I did, don't you worry, but it's okay." Bella nodded, getting her bottle of mango juice from Harry's bag, opening it, taking a sip of it, putting the lid on it, and put it on the blanket "If this opens and spills everywhere, I will cry," "Don't worry, I'll keep an eye out, sweetheart." She nodded as her phone started to ring.

She got it out of his pocket and looked at who was calling her and it was her sister "Emma, what's wrong?" "Is Harry with you?" "He is, do you need to tell me something?" "I do, I'll need to do it quietly, won't I?" "Unfortunately." Bella got up "You okay?" She nodded, walking over to a tree, standing by it "What's going on? Did something happen at Uni?" "No, I won't be coming home for Christmas, as I've got so much studying to do, but I'll try my best to come to London and see mum, and I'll try my best to drive down to Brighton and see you, Harry and Maisie if I can, if I can't, it'll have to be in the new year." "Don't panic so much. it's okay, Emma." "No, I know I don't want to panic too much, but if I want to see my little sister and my little niece and my brother in law, and it'll be hard as I can't see mum or dad either which I know will be pretty hard to not see them, or you. Since Christmas is coming up in a few months, I'll need to start getting everything and leaving them in my dorm until I come down for half term for Christmas, but if I can, I'll try for Halloween half term." "Okay, I see." Bella walked over to Harry, sitting down "That's all I need." "Okay, see you when you can." "You too." 

The two hung up and Bella leaned back down and into Harry's chest again, looking up at him with a smile on her face, hoping that everything will go well for the next few months until Christmas and for many more memories to come.
