Chapter Seventeen.

Hideo's POV:

I looked up as the door flew open. Our eyes met for a few seconds, then I dropped my head.

"I'm glad you're here. We need to talk about something," Finn said then sat next to me. I kept my eyes on the door not replying.

I was still very angry and irritated with Finn. How could he blindsided so easily? He was being manipulated from the start and he was foolish for thinking that Stephanie McMahon was even interested in a rookie.

"I feel like there's a bit of tension between us and I don't want that, Hideo. You brought me to the WWE universe and for that I am tremendously grateful because you're the guy who got everyone to turn their attention on me. You're also my best friend and I cannot believe I let a woman get in the way of that. I don't know if it'll be the way it was before but, can we be cool now?"

I thought over it then slowly smiled at Finn, "Yes but, you were wrong."

"Oh yeah? About what?" He asked.

I took my phone out and played him the voicemail from Nikki that I'd gotten from her.

"Hideo," Her voice echoed then she sighed, "I ended everything with Hunter. You wanna know why? Everything has gotten so fucked up, you know? Besides, during our time together and somewhere between playing you, I actually started falling in love with you. Wow...my hands are shaking and I feel all jittery that's weird. I'm not usually like this. Holy shit, I'm rambling God. Okay. Hideo? Point is, I wanted to apologize but also, I love you Hideo.."

The voicemail I ended then put the phone in my pocket, "She really loves me. You can hear the sincerity in her voice this time."

Finn nodded, "I hear it. Wow, who knew? You and Nikki Bella."

"I know. She's way out of my league."

We both laughed. It was good having my best friend Finn back. It was like the good old days again.

Hunter's POV:

"You break up with him?" I asked, watching my wife enter the limousine finally.

She nodded, "Of course I did."

I stared at her down then told the limo driver to head toward the hotel. I cleared my throat fixing my tie, "Have you been crying? I feel like you have."

"What was your first guess? The distraught written all over my face or the tears running down my cheeks?" She asked coldly.

"Hey," I grabbed her chin so she can look at me,"None of that. What you just did was what's best for business. You break up with Finn now, you're back with me, few months you'll start to show and then, we get to announce to the world that we have a child on the way. It's perfect timing."

"We don't have a child on the way, Hunter. Finn and I have a child on the way. Don't you understand that?"

I sighed, "Stephanie, this was your plan. You agreed to this and therefore, the plan is already in motion. I've already had the divorce papers ripped up and burned. This child will prove how happy and in love we are together. As far as the media is concerned, this child is another McMahon/Helmsley child. Another heir to the throne, you got that?"

She sighed but I quickly added, "Unless you'd like for word to get out that you had a baby out of wedlock with one of our most coveted NXT rookies. What an embarrassment to your family name, no? But hey, it's your decision-"

"Shut up, would you? I get it. I understand. This plan just makes me nervous. What if we get caught?"

"We won't. Trust me. No one will even know. Especially, Finn Balor. The only thing he knows is that Stephanie McMahon broke his heart for no apparent reason. Okay?"

"And when this baby comes out speaking Irish?" She asked.

"I've done my research on that. Just because a baby is born, in this case, half Irish doesn't necessarily mean he or she will have an Irish accent. Babies learn language by being around their parents, us, and hearing their voices. Since neither of us are Irish, our baby will be fine."

She looked at me weirdly, "You've done research? Jesus Christ."

"Precaution. It's our best bet. So relax, okay?"

Stephanie sighed, curled up in a ball, then turned away from me, "I hope this works out fine."

"It will," I reached and rubbed her shoulder. "But for now, I'm going to focus on beating Finn Balor senseless. Then we'll discuss him impregnating you."

Sorry this update took longer than I'd planned.

Good news, it's a long update though.

Bad news, next chapter is the final one.

I don't know if anyone notices but, I'm ending a lot of stories due to the fact that I have new ideas for others.

That and I'm taking some off hold so.

Anyways, major cliffhanger. Steph's pregnant, anyone see that coming? Lol.

Honestly, I didn't when I wrote it so, I literally just threw that in last minute.

Not much to say other than its been fun writing this for the most part.

Fun fact? I was originally going to use Randy Orton instead of Finn Balor.

But I already have a story with Randy so, I needed someone different.
