"Sophia, it's so good to hear from you. I've been worried about you."

"I'm sorry I haven't reached out before now, Wong. I–I wasn't sure how to...with Stephen being there."

"I understand. It does make things... complicated. I wish... I wish it didn't have to be this way, but I do understand why it does."

"I–I'm so sorry, Wong."

"Don't be. I'm not trying to make you feel guilty, Sophia. I'm really not. Your brother does enough of that for the both of us."

Sophia sighed and thought about her brother's surprise, hurtful visit to Wakanda. "I needed to ask a question, Wong."

"What is it? Anything for you, Sophia."

Sophia smiled sweetly at the man because she knew deep in her heart that he meant it. "Wong I needed to know... am I allowed... Am I allowed to continue to use magic now that I am no longer a member of the Masters of Mystic Arts? Is there a precedent?"

"Ah, have some plans?"

Sophia smiled. "I've been asked to become a member of the Avengers. Once the Wakandas are done with the work on my legs and I go through my training with them, lots of physical therapy and training I'm sure.... I'll be on missions. What I need to know is– will I be using just physical prowess–or can I use the magical powers I learned in Kamar Taj?"

"Sophia, imagine asking a child to stop using the alphabet because they left school. Or a scientist to stop using science simply because they decided to no longer be a scientist and instead decided to become a mathematician. That's not the way it works. I cannot tell you to stop using magic, Sophia. The skills are yours, you learned them, you earned them. You don't stop being a master of mystic arts just because you walk out of these halls. No matter what your brother or any other person tells you." Wong leaned forward. "Do you hear me, Sophia Strange? No matter what anyone tells you, you are still the incredibly skilled sorcerer that you were when you left here. Whether you walk, crawl, or fly. Whether you wear a cape, tights, leather, or silk. Whether you wear yellow or black, red or blue. Whether your legs are flesh or metal. No matter your name, it is in your heart, Sophia. I believe in you. You go and you do what feels right to you, alright?"

Sophia was in tears by the time Wong was done talking. She nodded vigorously. "Okay."

"And we will see each other soon, okay?"

"Okay."

"Whether that brother of yours is involved or not."

"Okay," she chuckled.

"Bye."

"Bye."

Sophia wheeled herself out of the private office she'd been given access to for the communication to Wong after a moment to collect herself, but she was still emotional.

Bucky, Steve, and Tony were all three waiting just outside for her and all three noted her emotional state as soon as she came out and quickly came towards her.

"Who do we need to kill?" Bucky growled out.

Sophia chuckled.

"I'm first in line." Tony said.

"Protective much?" Sophia laughed.

"I don't know, I think I'll fight you for first dibs." Steve said.

"First dibs? When did you learn 'first dibs?" Tony said.

"Oh my goodness, when did you three get so protective over me?" Sophia groaned.
