Sophia had settled into routine with her new Avengers family. Scott and Hope were now frequent visitors at the compound, Rhodey was in and out when he wasn't working as a liaison with the government–a new found role that was a compromise as a part of the dismantling of the Sokovia Accords. Natasha had settled back into life with her teammates.

Bruce and Tony spent much of their free time when not on missions working with Dr. Cho who has temporarily living at the compound on the plan for Vision's new body. Creating something that could handle the components he'd downloaded without the mind stone. Other than looking at the file in depth, they hadn't activated it in any attempts to load and communicate with this new version of Vision, hoping to wait till they had a better idea of how his new body was going to work. Wanda was anxious, but Sophia and Natasha were especially trying to keep her busy with 'girl activities' while they waited for the word from the genius side of the Avengers that things were ready.

Wanda and Natasha spent a lot of time helping Sophia with her training, Natasha with the physical aspects and Wanda with the magical aspects. The three became close friends, but Sophia also still held her friendships with Bucky, Tony, and Steve very closely. The three men had been her lifeline and anchor when she was in Wakanda and she would forever cherish the bond she'd formed with them.

Things seemed to continue moving at a snail's pace with Steve, which she found to be a bit frustrating.

She and Bucky remained the closest of friends, she and Sam had lots of laughs together. But the quad of she, Bucky, Steve, and Tony still ended up together hanging out just like they had in Wakanda. She was happy about that as she had worried that now that they were back with the rest of the group and the guys had the rest of their friends back that things would change.

They had fallen into a routine though and it seemed that everyone knew that once a week the four of them went out together by themselves. Sometimes through the week they'd also end up doing other things just the four of them, but for sure they'd have their weekly outing, usually for drinks.

Sophia enjoyed training with everyone because it gave her a chance to learn a little about each of the Avengers and their skills and gain new insight into everyone and learn something from each of them.

She and Steve continued to flirt, occasionally he'd act like he was going to try and kiss her but he'd never get the guts up to do it. She kept expecting him to ask her out on a real date but again, it never happened. Everyone was waiting and it just never happened. So, she just stayed content with being his best friend and being flirtatious with him.

While the other Avengers went out on missions, Sophia's sole duty was to train until she was released and approved for missions. From dawn till dusk she trained with whoever was available, when physical training wasn't available, she was sitting at a desk studying, reading up on tactics and Avenger and SHIELD previous missions so she had as much head knowledge as she could as well as the physical prowess.

One day she wasin the training gym next to Bucky prepping for training, wrapping her knuckles. She started chuckling to herself as she watched Nat sparring against Sam.

"What are you laughing about? Other than Sam getting his butt whooped by Nat?"

"Other than that?"

"Yeah."

"I was thinking about an old ex-boyfriend of mine."

Bucky was a little surprised–Sophia hadn't talked much about any former romantic relationships. Other than when she had opened up to the three guys about her past with her brother, she didn't really talk much about her past at all. He considered what she said. "You were thinking about an ex–and it made you laugh?"
