Hyunjin had his ears drowning in music as he mindlessly stared out of the plane window
The stars shined bright with hope, filling up the sky like it was a pathway to heaven
They brought peace to those beneath them, shining so bright for those who only knew darkness
Hyunjin took this time to pull his sketchbook out and start sketching to his heart's content, distracting himself from the death of his sister
Yet it never worked, his mind always wandered to that phone call he got, causing him to break out into a silent cry everytime
It didn't take too long for him to look to his other side, heart only clenching more as his eyes met those of a pained girl
She seemed about Hyunjin's age, if not just a year or two older. She had her one wired earbud hanging on her shoulder and the other in her ear
Her hand was covering her mouth in a futile attempt to muffle her sobs, tears endlessly rolling down her face
Hyunjin wished he could help but he couldn't. He knew he'd regret not comforting her in the near future but he was in no state to comfort someone
He turned his gaze back to the window, finding a few seconds of peace in the way the plane would move through the clouds
That peace causing him to fall asleep, head leaning on the wall of the plane as music continued to play through his headsets
His mouth slacked open in the slightest bit as his eyes completely shut, tears stinging his eyes as they freely flowed down the sleeping male's face
...
As if the gods were finally on his side, Hyunjin awoke just as he heard people cheering for the plane's arrival
It had been the longest eleven hours in the sky for him, providing enough hours for him to rest, seing as it was already 4am in Vegas (I calculated alles)
He looked to his side, eyes catching on the flight hostesses who had professionally opened the door and activated the stairs
Many people started to load off of the plane until it was finally Hyunjin's turn
He took a deep breath, standing from his seat as he grabbed his small bag from the compartment above him
He stumbled all his way to the exit, steadying myself as he walked down the stares as he clutched onto the railing
He got to the ground, sighing as his eyes stuck onto the airport infront of him
He was finally back home
Normally he'd be ecstatic whenever he'd land in Vegas but in this situation, he couldn't hold back his tears
A few minutes had passed at the male already had his luggage with him, sitting outside as he waited for his Uber to arrive
He stared up at the sky, cursing as he felt tears drop onto his hands and thighs
He hated it so much. He'd been crying for the past twelve hours, occasionally stopping in certain situations
He'd never cried for so long, he'd never cried this many tears in a half a day, causing his extreme exhaustion in the plane
The sky wasn't ready cry, it couldn't, so he cried for it
No matter what the situation was, his mind always wandered to the two he had lost
Yeji
And Felix
He felt endless guilt for his mistake that repeated itself twice
He left Yeji years ago, pursuing his talents in Jinyoung Park University, leaving her behind in Vegas with their parents
And that fucking liability of an aumt that he hated so much even if she was family
The repetition of it being him leaving Felix behind
He knew his reason not to bring him along so he had no reason to blame himself yet he did
He feared that if he didn't get back to him as soon as possible, he'd end up just like his late twin
He was snapped out of it all as his ring tone chimed through his ears
He grabbed his phone and picked up the call and held the phone to his ear
"Ni-ki?" He said, looking out for his Uber that had to arrive anytime now
"Hyun, are you still in the flight?" He asked, his voice sounding more hoarse and raspy from his endless crying
"No, I'm waiting for my lift at the airport" He replied, letting a sigh of relief as he watched the Uber drive his way
"Alright. I'll...I'll talk to you once you get home"
"Alright, I'll see you soon, bye"
...
Before Hyunjin knew it, he was outside of a large house, bowing to the two guards that stood at the gate
They opened the gate and Hyunjin found himself rushing to the front door with his luggage in his hand, rolling it on the floor
He knocked on the door, biting his still wounded lip as he impatiently waited for the door to open
When he finally heard the door creak open, his eyes started to water for the billionth as he was met with the sorrowful face of his little brother
His cheeks and tip of his nose were red and raw, his eyes puffy, red, teary and puffy from his endless hours of sobbing
"Hyun-" the male was cut off when the wide was knocked out of him upon his older brother pulling him into a hug with a rough tug
Ni-ki couldn't hold back his loud cries as Hyunjin tightened his hold on the male, making futile attempts to whisper comforting words into his ear despite his cracking voice
All he'd been yearning for was his beloved older brother's embrace ever since he had left back to Seoul a month or so ago
After what happened, all he needed was the one sibling he could hold on to
He needed Hyunjin to come home
"Don't ever leave me...please" Ni-ki choked out, bending a bit to bury his face in the crook of Hyunjin's neck
Hyunjin coughed out a strained sob as he gripped the back of the younger male's shirt as his other hand dug into his hair
"I won't...I won't do that to you" He muttered, biting his lower lip as a whimper rung at the back of his throat
"I miss her Hyunjin...I miss Yeji" Ni-ki choked out, only causing more pain to the older male's heart
"Believe me Ni-ki, I miss her too"
