Lydia sighed, her head burying into the bedsheets as her hands grasped tightly onto her pillow. She didn't really know what to do in this situation. It was something she had been looking forward to for so long but, was she really ready? Was she too young for this?

These thoughts plagued her mind as she laid there, her grip only getting tighter, until she felt it. The wave of relief as he moved away from her. She turned back, confused yet joyous. "Is everything okay?" she asked, a small faux frown on her lips.
"Yeah, sorry. Uh- stage fright?" the other said, looking down at the soft area between their legs.
Lydia smiled sweetly, grabbing her underwear off the floor and swiftly putting it on. She hugged the other and played with their hair, encouraging them to lie down on the bed with her. "It's alright, love!" she examined her body, realising that the two of them didn't look the cleanest. "Let's hop in the shower, yeah? Get all nice and clean." She grabbed the other's hand and smiled again, hoping it would cheer them up about their performance. They reluctantly agreed.
Lydia helped the other get clean before cleaning herself too. She then guided the other back to bed, where the other ended up falling asleep fairly quickly.
It had been a long day for them, so it's no wonder they fell asleep first. Lydia stared up at the ceiling. What could she do now? Her partner asleep next to her, her phone off the edge of the bed. She didn't want to wake them up.
Luckily for her, her partner's tablet sat beside her. She turned it on and went onto YouTube, quietly listening to music via her earphones. A notification popped up. Jade.
"Who the fuck is Jade?" she thought to herself, swiftly swiping the text message up. She tried to read what it said without clicking the notification, unfortunately failing to do so.
The notification opened on Messenger. She read the text that Jade had sent.
"Hey, you up?"
Who the fuck was she to be asking if Lydia's partner was up. Who was this girl? Her thoughts began to race, she felt her heart pump faster and faster to cope with the adrenaline coursing through her veins. Who the FUCK is this girl?
The only way she'd figure it out would be to text her. Right?
As Lydia tried to rationalize this idea in her head, another text came through. "C'mon, I could really use someone to talk to!"
She began typing back.
"whats wrong".
"It's simple, short, and typed exactly like they would type it," she thought to herself. "No way she'd think anything was wrong."
'Jade' started typing. Lydia's nerves only grew higher and higher, the longer the ellipsis appeared. That was, until they disappeared. This girl had stopped typing. Lydia's nerves sky-rocketed once again. Her heart began to force her breathing to accelerate.
She contemplated waking up her partner. Another text from Jade.
"I know it's late but- do you think we could do this over call? It's kind of important and typing is giving me a headache. Screen's too bright."
Lydia paused. She wouldn't be able to call this girl. It's too late, and there was no way of her sounding anything like her partner. That and, they were right next to her. So they'd hear the call.
Unless she went downstairs...
She decided against it. "its late. just tell me here. idc" she responded.
"C'mon Alison! Please!" came Jade's antagonized reply.
Who the fuck is this girl to be deadnaming her partner? Alison? Get fucked.
"That's not my name." She dropped the act entirely, no one gets to deadname her partner. Not even her. So why the FUCK would this random girl be allowed to?
"Wdym, love?" Her blood boiled. The shortness of the reply. The "love". Whoever this girl was, she wasn't taking the situation seriously. This girl had just deadnamed her partner and now she had the audacity to call Lydia "love"? Nah.
Lydia, in her rage, forgot who's tablet she was using. That was, until her partner stirred next to her. Her breathing was too loud, it had woken them up slightly. Their arms wrapped around Lydia like she was a teddy bear. It calmed her down slightly. She stared at the tablet for a few minutes.
"listen, its late im gona go to bed" She texted Jade, proceeding to clear the chat history. Hopefully this wouldn't cause any repercussions later on.
Putting the tablet down, she held her partner's hand in their sleep. Tears rolling down her cheeks in silence. Was she that person? Why didn't she just trust her partner? Her mind began to race once more.
She stared up at the ceiling once more. Even though she'd have to head home, she hoped tomorrow would be a better day.
