Vixen turned the corner, the dark and dingy path ahead, looming over her meek figure. The girl was 21 years in age, though you could easily wrap a finger around her fragile wrists.
As she stepped foot into the abyss, she caught a glimpse of two eyes peering into the distance ahead of her. Maybe it was just her imagination.
A few more steps, something clanged and shattered against her foot. She may not have been heavy, but anyone can break glass, can't they?
As she turned to face what she had stood on, the eyes looming in on her soul approached like a mist in the foggy night. Revealing two fluffy ears, and a coat so magnificent, it shone in the moonlight.
Though the girl was too focussed on the glass beneath her feet. An empty beer bottle, damaged to almost unrecognisable lengths. She sighed, must've been from the night before.
Only then did she realise her new furry friend approach, as its head dug into her leg. She swiftly picked it up, without a second thought. See, Vixen was a kind-hearted young woman and didn't want the cat to be injured by the glass.
Though, as she picked up the moody midnight cat, its claws dug deep into her arms. Leaving wounds that would bleed for time to come. She yelped, dropping the furry fiend in retaliation. If it weren't on impulse, she'd never have done such a thing.
However, as her new companion's paws reached the ground, the shards tore through its flesh like paper. It screeched a yelp like no other and scampered back off into the night.
Guess that's why you don't help ungrateful cats.
