Last night, i dreamt i was back in hospital.
I was starving again. Blood dripping from my face as I tore out the insides of one of the nicest nurses on the ward.
Why am I like this? I ruin everything.
I awoke to the noise of someone screaming around me. Another mishap, I supposed.
I'm getting used to the screams, honestly. They're not the worst sound. Drowns out the hunger, I suppose.
I guess I should explain, shouldn't I.
Well.. where do I even start?

It was a day I'll remember for the rest of my life, the day of the breakout.
I was in school, I believe I was doing a maths exam.
One of the students began convulsing. Then, their nose started to bleed. Finally, they foamed at the mouth. Their face going pale as they collapsed to the floor.
Obviously, they rushed the student away to get medical help, and allowed us to have 10 more minutes on our exam, for the interruption.

After finishing the exam, I went outside and walked the halls, being done with school for the day. I should have just gone home, but I was dumb enough to want to meet a friend.
She was waiting for me just outside the doors of the school, like usual.
I smiled when I saw her, grabbed her hand, and we began walking.

On our way out of school, we had passed the English block.
Screams.
People were screaming.
What was going on?

The girl grabbed my hand, she was worried.
I, being the dumb hero I thought I was, went to check it out. I told her to go home, that we could meet up the next day.
Little did I know, she'd stayed and waited for me.
But that's not that important right now.

As i walked the halls of the English block, my heart stopped.
More screams.
Louder.
There were tons of people running now too.
What were they running from?
Was someone hurt?

My pace quickened as I hurried towards the noises, until someone grabbed me. Pulling me away from the supposed danger.
I attempted to release their grasp, before swiftly realising it was one of my friends. To which I followed along begrudgingly.
