Chapter 11: The News

Rhyker and I decided to get some fries and soda before we headed back to the guys. And if they weren't there we would just go back and search for them. We sat down at one of the picnic tables laughing.

"So Rhylen how did you and Andy meet?" she asked.

I looked at her and ran a hand through my hair feeling nervous.

"He-he found me almost asleep behind a hotel it's a long story. But we hung out that night and I went to the concert today. It was awesome I loved it" I explained playing with the straw in my drink and smiling.

People were flooding the place and laughing and I actually started to feel normal.

"Yeah concerts are always awesome. Comes with the territory of dating a famous guy you-"

My eyes widened.

"Dating" I said cutting her off. "No Andy and I are not dating. He would never be interested in me that way" I sighed.

Ryker leaned in closer looking at me with a grin.

"But you would like to wouldn't you? Andy likes you I can tell when he looks at you. And the way you leaned into him when we were all sitting on the ground, you like him too" Ryker expalined.

I rolled my eyes. This girl was nuts, but she was amazing and I liked her. She was like a friend and I never had a friend before.

"Well I mean Andy is amazing and hot but being with a girl like me is never so,ethig he would do. It's not his image and I'm not his style."

I wasn't and he was famous I wasn't. Our lived were completely diffrent and I didn't want him to know anything about my life he would never look at me the same. He would never like me that way, I was hoepful but I knew he wouldn't. I knew that I was just some fling until he left to continue tour we would never be anything more.

"There's no denying that he's attractive but honestly do you think I was Ronnie's type? hell no when Andy met me I was all sorts of fucked up honey" Ryker explained.

"I'm fucked up my life is a mess, if Andy knew the truth he wouldn't like me or look at me the same..no one would."

"Even me?" she asked.

I nodded looking dwon at the fries and eating one.

"Yes even you."

Ryker sighed and looked like she was reliving a memory and I wasn't going to ask what it was. Suddenly she looked up at me and placed her hand on my outstretched arm and looked at me. No! No! Not that look. It was the same one Andy had given me, I pulled my arm away disgusted and looked away.

"Don't look at me like that. Andy did too and I can't take it. I don't want any pity" I snapped feeling bad afterwards.

"Rhylen look I'm sorry. I can tell you're scared because of whatever it was that happened to you but it'll get better all in time."

I took a sip of my drink and shook my head shrugging my shoulders.

"I doubt it."

Ryker leaned close to me.

"Let me tell you a story."

I picked up my jaw off the table as Ryker finished her story and looked at me.

"Wow and I thought I had things bad. I'm sorry about everything that happened to you Ry it sucks" I explained.

My heart truly went out to her. I could never go through what she did and come out alive. I would die and believe me a lot of the time I wanted too. It could end all my pain and solve my problems.

"Yeah but Ronnie was my rock and he helped me through it all. He was there for me no matter how hard things were. I'm sure Andy would do the same for you too"

I wondered how right she was. Would Andy be there for me like Ronnie was for Ryler? I would never find out Andy would be leaving soon so there was no need for him to know.

"Thanks for having so much faith you're a great friend. Luna is lucky to have you" I said with a smile.

"Hey we're friends too. You and I, Rhylen and Ryker" she smiled getting up walking over to me and hugging me.

We were laughing when someone came up to us and we stopped looking at him.

"If you're going to hit on her don't waste your time she's mine. Right baby?" Ryker joked.

I chuckled and winked and the guy who had walked over. He had brown hair and green eyes. He was tall and fit and looked at me with shocked.

"Um no. Hi are you Rhylen Jamison?"

Suddenly I tensed up and Ryker released me. I was instantly on guard. Who was he? Did he know me somehow? Was he tied to my mother?

"Why who wants to know?"

Suddenly he slid is phone on table in front of me and it was streaming the news and my face was splashed on the screen. I picked it up and stared shocked,

"Oh my god"

I handed him back his phone and started running back towards the guys. I couldn't let Andy find out. I heard Ryker call after me and when she caught up we fell into step. I approached where the guys were and I stopped in my tracks at a sight that hurt my heart. Andy was kissing Juliet.
