Chapter 54: In and Out

*Ryker*

Andy sat on the side of Rhylens bed just looking at her. I looked at him through the window leading into her
room. He hadn't moved at all he hadn't slept. He had stayed by her side which I admired how faithfull and loyal he was but he needed to take care of himself. Everyone had barely moved from the waiting room. It was like we were just waiting for news. Everytime he doctor came out we all waited to see if he knew anything. But still so far there was no initial changes. I sighed holding the samwhich that I had made and walkes into the room. Amdy glanced up at me and then his eyes were back on Rhylen as of he was waiting for a change that he could witness. I held out my samwhich.

"Here you need to eat" I told him.

He didnt even look at me or take the food. He just looked at Rhylen and I could tell he was hurting really bad. It was written all over his face. I sat next to him.

"Andy you need to get some rest. You haven't slept at all. You can't keep running on adrenaline and coffee. Its not healthy. I can stay with her and I'll call you the second something changes" I explained to him.

He shook his head and didn't even look at me.

"No I have to be here when she wakes up. Im not leaving, I can't, she can't wake up while I'm not here" he said.

I was worried about Rhylen but I was really starting to worry about Andy he needed to take care of himself. He needed to sleep for a few hours and eat.

"Don't you have a show tonight?"

Suddenly his head swiveled in my direction.

"Yes and I'm not going. Ryker the show is the last thing on the bottom of my list of things to worry about" He told me as he grabbed a hold of Rhylens hand.

I put my hand on his shoulder amd rubbed.

"Andy...Rhylen would want you out there. She'd want you to take care of yourself. And you have fans who want to see you live your dreams and play the songs that saved their lives. I know thats what Rhylen would want. I'll stay with her. And let you know if things change" I explained trying to soothe him.

After a long pause he sighed and kissed Rhylens hand.

"This is all my fault" he whispered.

*Rhylen*

Everything was still dark. I tried to move but it didn't work. My head was pounding! What the fuck? Suddenly I heard voices and at first I couldn't make them out. But then Andy's voice reached my ears.

"This is all my fault" he uttered.

What was his fault? What the hell was going on?

"Andy don't say that it, it is not your fault. It was an accident. "

That was Ryker! She was here, I longed to make some kind of connection with her. With anyone for that matter. What were they talking about?

"No Ryker it is. Maybe if I hadn't chased her out of the house. Maybe if I didn't grab her arm which caused her to push me and stumble she wouldn't have gotten hit...I shouldve let her cool down...this is all my fault....what if she dies?"

I heard his voice break and he started to cry. Andy..don't cry please. I watched to touch him and soothe his pain. Hearing him cry the way he was ripped me to the core. What happened to me? Why was he so upset?
