Chapter 45: Leaving It Behind

Okay so I just edited a picture its not the best but its what I had to work with so I hope you guys like it. So this update will pick up from when they walked out of the courtroom. Just to clarify, enjoy!

Happy was not even a word to describe how I was feeling right now. Try more like ecstatic. Rhylen was free she wasn't going to prison and now I wanted to start my life with her as soon as we got back to LA. I was taking her away from here and we'd be together with no burden from her past. This was a new future a new home a new life for her and I wanted her to be happy. Rhylen was in the bathroom changing out of her boring clothes as she said. I stood with everyone waiting including her Dad and her sister Cassidee. You could definitely tell that they were related. They had the same eyes and bone structure. The only thing that was different was Cassidee had dark hair. I assume that came from David because he had brown hair. I stood waiting and very shyly Cassidee tapped on my arm. I looked at her and she smiled nervously.

"Um, can I have your autograph?" she asked.

I smiled and took the sharpie she held out.

"Yeah of course."

I signed her jeans and I even had her take a picture of the band and her together. She smiled like a girl who just got the best birthday gift.

"Thanks."

"She's a big fan" David told us.

I nodded and looked him up and down a quick second.

"So you're Rhylen's Dad?" I asked.

"Yeah I am. You're her boyfriend I'm assuming by the way she flew into your arms" he explained.

"Yeah I'm Andy."

I extended my hand and David shook it firmly.

"I'm David and trust me I know who you are. Cassidee is a big fan and listens to Black Veil Brides and Falling In Reverse all the time" he explained.

Ronnie looked up from his phone at the mention of his name. He smiled and waved awkwardly. And we all chuckled and Ryker came up next to me.

"I'm Ryker, Rhylens best friend" she said smiling.

"Nice to meet you" Cassidee said and David nodded saying the same.

"So if you don't mind me asking how did you and my daughter meet?" Davi asked.

Before I got a chance to respond Rhylen emerged from the bathroom looking completely different than when she came in. She had on a pair of ripped skinny jeans. Her shirt was my batman tank top and she wearing a grey tank top. Her blonde hair hung loose down her shoulders and she was wearing boots that matched. I smiled and she did too as she ran at me. I held out my arms and she jumped into them immediately almost knocking my over I picked her up lauging and spun us. Rhylen laughed and I set her down kissing her. It was nice to see her so happy I ran my hand through her hair and she hugged me and then Ryker hugged again. Everything hung still and Rhylen pulled back and looked at David and Cassidee.

"Sorry I didn't say anything to you guys. I'm not even sure what to say, if it wasn't for you I'd be heading to prison right now" she told him.

David put a hand on her shoulder and she looked taken back for a second.

"Of course you're my daughter I'd die for you. I'm sorry that I wasn't in your life all these years. I want you to know that I wanted to be but if I got near you I was afraid your mother would take you away and Id never find you" he explained to her.

She shook her head.

"I know. I was in the courtroom too remember? I'm not mad I know how she can be" Rhylen bit her lip and looked at Cassidee. "So you're my sister?"

Cassidee moved her hair and smiled.

"Yeah, nice to finally meet you. Even though I only knew you existed a few days go" she held her hand out.

Rhylen looked at her hand and rolled her eyes and pulled her into a hug and then she hugged David. I smiled to myself at this reunion. Everything was going to be just fine.

I found David lived in LA as well and he was married to a woman by the same or Sabrina  and Id meet her soon. He and Cassidee went backto their hotel to pack for the flight back after we exchanged numbers. Andy had told me I was going to come live with him and I had no say but that was fine. Everyone had a taken the buss to get here and that made me chuckle. Except Andy he had drove his sexy black car. The bus pulled away and everyone waved saying they'd see us when we got back and we'd celebrate. I waved at them and leaned against Andy's car and he looked at me and smiled. I raised my eyebrows with a smile.

"What?" I asked.

"You are so beautiful" he told me.

I blushed and he came up to me taking my face in his hands and kissing me passionately. We stayed there kissing for a while and before we got to carried away I pulled away.

"There's something I want to do before I completely leave everything behind okay."

Andy nodded and kissed my neck I chuckled and he grabbed my hand and slipped the keys into it and pulled away. He started walking to the passenger side and I looked at him holding his keys.

"I trust you" he said.

With a smile on my face I slid into the drivers seat and started the car.

We pulled up to a little run down house. I didn't need to ask where we were I already knew. This was the house Rhylen had grown up in. I thought she was going to go up to the front door but she rounded the house motioning for me to follow. I ran to catch up with her. I watched as she lifted herself up and I helped her climb through the open window and then I climbed in myself. I looked around and seen Rhylen going through drawers and her closet grabbing clothes.

"Sorry my room is a mess I wasn't exspecting company" she joked.

"Its all good babe."

"Feel free to look around."

I took that invitation and walked out of the room. As I walked down the hall I seen pictures of Rhylen when she was five or so and I peeked into a bedroom which I was assuming was her mothers. It had a queen size bed and the room was trashed. Clothes, bottles, medicine containers everywhere. I shook my head and kept going down the hall. I made my way to the living room that was connected to the kitchen. The living room had a smashed Tv. And it was a mess too. I was surprised Rhylen had never gotten sick from living here. Well she was going to live with me now and my house was clean. Well maybe not my room but that was besides the point. I walked into the kitchen. My boots clicking on the tile floor. I looked around at the signs of the struggle than Rhylen had explained in court. I seen the knife on the floor but I didn't pick it up.

"I just needed to come here one last" Rhylen said.

I turned around not even realising she was behind me. She was holding a duffel bag full of the rest of her stuff. I grabbed it throwing it over my shoulder.

"You okay being here?" I asked.

Rhylen nodded looking around.

"Yeah just,needed to see it for myself one last time" she explained.

I slipped my arm around her and kissed her temple.

"Come on let's go I want to get you home."

I had a lot of things in mind. She smiled and we walked out together.
