*Third Person*

Rhylen sat frozen in place. She knew that voice all to well. She listened to it yell, cry, scream, apologize. As she took a deep breath, Her mother rounded the corner of the table stepping into view. Her blonde hair pulled in a messy bun, and her green eyes stood out just as her daughters. There was no denying she was her child. She wore a grey outfit that had the name of a hospital of some sort on it. She looked to be semi okay. But there was a look she had to her a sneaky look. Despite abusing her meds and alcohol Rhylens mother was sneaky and knew how to get what she wanted. Pulling out the chair her mother sat down and folded her hands putting them on the table.

"I knew you'd come" she repeated.

Rhylen's eyebrows pulled into a line and she glared.

"Yeah well I had no choice seeing as the cops came to get me. What did you tell the cops? And don't play that innocent bullshit with me. Attempted murder, what the fuck mom?" She exclaimed frustrated.

"Technically you did break the law Rhylen. Took a while to track you down. Then you started showing up in photos with some guys. You been quite the little hoe haven't you?"

Ignoring her mothers hurtful words she went back to her main question.

"How did I break the law?"

"You stabbed me! Called the cops and then left the house. Thats attempted murder."

Rhylen sighed and groaned.

"I did that because you would've killed me. Did you tell them I was fighting you to defend myself? Of course not."

"The cops don't know that. You have no proof."

Rhylen leaned closer her eyes determined.

"Oh trust me I have proof. I have tons of scars from previous years of your abuse. Thats all the proof I need. The scars on my back, how could I have possibly done that all myself?"

Her mothers pushed away a few strands of her hair that fell in her face. Rhylen studied her she didn't sound like the woman she spoke to the woman she spoke to on the phone. She was sweet and nice calling her honey but not this woman. She must have noticed her staring because her icy green eyes locked on hers and she spat with venom.

"Something bothering you brat?"

Rhylen knew right then and there. Mood swing.

"Mom when have you last had your meds?"

Her mothers eyes glared at her.

"Is that your business?"

"Have you been abusing them? I want to know. Regardless of how you feel right now, and how angry I am, you are mother. And...and...I do love you" Rhylen told her.

She took a deep breath. She never thought she'd admit that. Rhylen knew it was true but it was like she could never admit it to anyone...except Andy. And even then Andy seen it though she barely admitted it. He could tell just by her attitude and the need to defend her even after all the horrible things she'd done and said to her.

"Is that the best line you got?" her mother said.

"It's the truth."

Her mother got up rounding the table and Rhylen shrunk back in her seat.
