The moon was shining high in the sky, bathing with its light the Ryuudou temple while it was devoured by the fire. Flames burst vigorously as the smoke made the air in the room impossible to be breathed. Soon, what, a few hours earlier, was a temple inhabited by monks, had become hell.

In the middle of it, there were two people.

The first was an adolescent that was lying on the ground. He wore black sleeveless armour, tight pants that adhered to his body, tightened with leather straps, and shoes that seemed to join the pants. His blond hair, which looked like ripe wheat, was covered with ashes, and his green eyes stared with determination at the man before him.

"I admit it was an enjoyable show, but we've come to an end, Faker," the man said, dangerously approaching the young man. An arrogant grin spread over his face as he stared with his blood-red eyes at his opponent. "Since you entertained me, I'll give you the honour to say your last words."

The adolescent looked down at the ground, causing the man in front of him to smile with even more arrogance. "This is kind of you, King Gilgamesh." He said while the red tattoo on his hand flashed, alarming the man. "I order you! Show yourself, Saber!"

Before Gilgamesh could shoot a Noble Phantasm from the Gate of Babylon, the young man grabbed a burning piece of wood and threw it at his opponent to distract him and give Saber time to appear and swing her sword at Gilgamesh, causing him to flinch. However, the knight managed to injure his chest.

The person was wearing heavy silver and red armour and a helmet that made her threatening and wielded a sparkling silver sword decorated with red trimmings.

"How dare you mock me, mongrels?!" Gilgamesh growled.

"Shut your mouth, King of Mongrels." Saber threw herself at Gilgamesh, aiming at her opponent's neck.

Gilgamesh responded by opening a golden gate from which a chain came out to block Saber's movements, but she was quick enough to disappear before it chained her. She could not free herself from Enkidu, the Chains of Heaven, once this would bind her.

"You said I could say my last wishes and I did," the young man said, getting up. "You tore Reality Marble apart and my reserves are running low. I just bet everything on my sister."

Saber appeared next to him. Her helmet took off and merged with her armour, showing a face that was very similar to that of her master.

Gilgamesh grunted but recognized that using a Command Seal to allow his servant to reach the battlefield and save him was a smart move. Thus, recognizing this clash as a worthy battle, Gilgamesh prepared to issue his judgement and opened several gates from which Noble Phantasms of different shapes and sizes came out.

Gilgamesh fired, but the young man threw himself in front of Saber with a black cross-shaped shield in front of him. "Manifest yourself, Lord Camelot!" He slammed the shield to the ground and the holy castle to which a certain king addressed her prayers manifested, rejecting the barrage of Noble Phantasms.

"Did you defeat Berserker?" he asked his servant.

Servant, historical and legendary figures who have forged human history. After their death, their bodies and souls were moved to the Throne of Heroes, awaiting the call of a master to participate in the holy grail wars.

Noble Phantasms. The crystallisation of legendary weapons, special abilities or even events themselves that characterised heroic spirits for what they were.

Saber was Mordred, the rebel Knight who had ended King Arthur's life along with her life and put an end to the Arthurian Legend.

Gilgamesh was the oldest hero mankind had ever conceived. A man who was a god for two-thirds and the ancient king of Uruk who had conquered all the treasures of the ancient world.
