"Turn left" The voice of Aaliyah Snape echoed through the walls of the city's local arcade as she watched her best friend steer the gaming wheel in a rather frenzied and panicky manner, in a trial of overtaking the next car in front of her.

"The other left, you dolt." Amelia groused in a rather irritated manner, as she stood on the other side of the gaming machine, utterly unimpressed with the way her best friend was driving.

It was a rather pleasant afternoon. The mid-day sun wasn't much scorching and the wind wasn't that crisp and chilly. Emma, or as the kids called 'Arcade Emma' had busied herself lazily twirling through the pages of her comic book, her palm supporting her head, her body been slightly slunk forward. She wore a red and white striped dress, which was a uniform for all the employees working there. Yawning, the elder teen leaned her body a little more front. If anything, it looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there on a Saturday afternoon.

"Left. Turn left.", "Go faster!" the kids shrieked their irritation and concern from either side of Xena's slightly tilting pod, which changed every time she moved the car, giving her more of a real-car-drive experience. Aaliyah only snapped her head towards the arcade manager as she continued, "Emma, ask her to flank left."

"Flank left." The said manager spoke with the utmost disinterest and laziness, never once taking her eyes off of the book in front of her, the whole room's ambiance and music was filled with Guns N' Roses.

"Will you both just shut the hell up?!" Xena finally snapped, momentarily glancing up at Amelia. But this distraction, only caused her car to go dash into a badly graphic-ed two-dimensional tree. From the bottom of the machine, there soon echoed the familiar pitchy and repeating sound which indicated a 'game over'. There soon were neon flashes of different hues flooding the boxed vintage LED screen, then there flashed the scene of laughing of the other characters of the game before the inevitable 'please insert coin' plastered the screen's middle.

In the entire ordeal, as the black-haired girl watched what could have been the potential high score, the potential win, waste away, she couldn't help but wonder of the multiple ways she could kill both her best-friend. She huffed out a rather angered and tensed breath from the flaring of her nose. Momentarily she closed her eyes and turned her head towards the blonde, and threw her an annoyed glare, which Amelia only replied with a sheepish and teeth visible smile.

Xena only nodded her head sideways in a dejected and in a mock disappointed manner. Sighing yet again, she tried to get off of the seat as, before she started talking in a rather tired manner, "Why did I even bother to ask you two to come with me today?"

"Well..." Amelia drawled as she put both her hands in her pant pockets, before continuing in the same weirded drawling tone, "Because you love us. And also because we were trying to cheer Liyah up."

The said Liyah only arched her eyebrows in a knowing manner, seeing that it had been very true. Just a few hours prior, she had a rather 'heated' argument with Severus which only had caused her to storm to Xena's home.
