The Human Realm (chapter two)

Your pov

???: are you ok?!

She walks over to me and King so I take a step back making her stop

???: your head is bleeding

She looks at King as I touch my head where it was hurting only to pull away at the pain. I looked at my fingers to see blood then I noticed the human looking me up and down. Once she was done, her eyes lit up

???: are you a cosplayer?! And why are you crying?

I quickly wipe my tears and glared at the girl

King: weh? What's a cosplayer

The human seemed surprised at King

???: how did he do that?!

I realised my staff was on the ground along with my palisman

Me: move

I walked past the human and grabbed my staff

???: rude

I unscrew p/n making it come to life. I lifted my hand so it could stand on it

Me: are you ok?

It chirps happily as I noticed a small crack on it's head but didn't worry about it, since it seemed fine

???: oh my gosh!

I then realized the human was standing next to me, making me jump. She turned her head to me with stars in her eyes

???: how did you do that?!

I took a couple of steps back, away from the human

???: oh, come on. You can tell me, I won't tell

I look at King

I whisper: should I tell her?

King: we do need a place to stay

I looked at the phoenix on my hand who let out a confused chirp. I look at the human, who was waiting somewhat patiently

Me: I'm a witch

That made the human squeal so loud it began to hurt all our ears. I cover my ears along with King while p/n flew onto a branch

???: oh my gosh! Is that how you made that thing come to life? With magic!

I glared at the human

I snap: don't call p/n a "thing", it's a palisman not an object

???: sorry

P/n landed on my other shoulder

???: so, where are you from?! How did you get here?! Can I-

She instantly stopped speaking when she noticed my head was lowered as tears fell from my eyes as I remembered what had just happened

???: are you... ok?

I hear her take a step forward

King: how dare you make her cry!

He jumps off my shoulder as thoughts clouded my mind

Luz's pov

I watch as the witch cried. I felt like such an idiot. I probably just made the only witch I know, cry

Dog: how dare you make her cry!

It jumps off the girls shoulder and began to kick and scratch me at my legs

Me: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to

I felt awful. The witch looked up slightly

???: King, enough
