For the second time, I was locked up in a prison cell. At Least this time I had a TV. The only station was the news but at least it was something. I also had a little bouncing ball. I think the police thought that if we had some entertainment, we wouldn't try to escape.

    "Umm. Thea–" Cassian trailed off.

    'Yeah?" I asked.

    'Look at the news." He replied, staring at the TV.

    "Oh no. What is it now Cas–" I stopped mid sentence as I saw Nyx on the TV.

    "You said you had some important news to give us?" The reporter asked.

    "Yes. We all know that Alana and Athena had beef. So much so that they tried to kill each other. What y'all don't know is what started it all." Nyx said before a video of Alana popped up. Alana was in the same abandoned building as before.

    "This is a message to the public. I have not always been honest with y'all. Today I met Athena. She was going to kill me but after we talked she decided to give me sympathy. You might be wondering why she would need to do that. Well, we all know the car accident at the gas station that her parents died in. Well, that was caused by me." Alana took in a deep breath.

"My mom lied to me about why her and her brother, Athena's dad, hated each other. So I decided to get revenge for her and kill him. So, I blew up his car now realizing that his wife, fifteen year old son and seven year old daughter were in the car waiting for Athena to get back." She paused.

"That is why she tried to kill me. Because I killed her family. It was my fault. I killed her family and many more to keep a good public image. She was only trying to stop me from hurting more people even though it meant that people would hate her. Please give her a fresh start. I made her life, and so many other lives, hell. I am the bad guy in this story. I rigged bombs to kill her so she wouldn't tell anyone and now I'm about to pay for that." The video stopped. She knew she wasn't going to make it out. That's what took her so long! I thought to myself in shock. She video went off screen to reveal Nyx and the reporter again.

"I'm not so innocent in all of this either. I was Athena's best friend. She trusted me and I turned my back on her and joined Alana. Even though Athena had always protected me from bullies. I knew why they were both trying to kill each other. I had been spying on Athena since before the car accident." Nyx confessed right before two cops handcuffed her and forced her off the stage as two prison guards came to our cells.

"Looks like y'all are free now." The guard unlocking my cell smiled at me.

"Thanks." I replied, smiling. I ran up and wrapped my arms around Cassian.

"We're free!" I said almost in tears.

"We're free." Cassian repeated me.

The guards escorted us into the main lobby where Mary and Vera were waiting. Mary ran towards me grabbing me into a bone crushing hug.

"I missed you." I whispered.

"I'm so happy you're free!" She said at the same time.

"So, dinners on me?" Mary smiled at us as we walked out of the station.

We went to a restaurant down the street.

"It seems like y'all had fun when I was in a come." Mary laughed.

"I would like to mention that I was the only one to visit you in the hospital!" Vera said.

"Okay, we were known fugitives. Also Nyx told me that it would be too dangerous if I came." I replied.

"Since when did you care about danger? Mrs, almost got myself killed every day this year." Mary laughed as I playfully glared at her.

"To be fair, I forced her not to visit you cause I didn't want her getting arrested. Seems like that didn't work though." Cassian said, staring at me, with his eyebrows raised.

"Wow, is it just attack Athena day?!" I chuckled while taking a bite of my sandwich.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    It's a couple years after everything that happened with Alana and Nyx. I am now 29. Nyx was sentenced to life in prison for accessory to murder. Mary and Vera got married four years ago and Cassian and I got married five years ago. I think of everything we've been through as I pack my belongings into a box. We are finally moving out of an apartment and into a real house, one next to Mary, Vera and Lily. Lily is their daughter. She's the same age as mine and Cassian's daughter, Artemis.. I grabbed a drawing off of my desk. One of a cat's head that's surrounded by lilies. Sunflowers, roses. the cat's nose tilted up towards a small butterfly. The drawing had a tiny signature: C.A.L, Cassidy Artemis Lawrence. I felt two hands wrap around my waist from behind.
    "Hey Cas." I smiled, moving my hand up to his cheek.
    "We are definitely hanging that up in our room." He replied, nuzzling his face into my neck.
    "Obviously." I laughed.
    "It's almost time to go." He said as he walked over to my suitcase. "Artemis is already in the car. You ready?" He asked.
    "Yup. Let's go." I replied. Cassian picked up my suitcase and moved it over to the car.
    "Mom?" Artemis, my four year old daughter asked.
    "Yes sweetie?" I replied.
    "Can we have a tree house at the new house for me and Lily?" Artemis asked.
    "Of course, sweetie." I smiled at her. Our back yard and Mary's are going to be connected so the girls can play in the same yard, and so we have quicker access to each other.
Two hours later we finally made it to our new house in Lexington SC. It was a five bedroom, two story house with a big yard. It was in a lovely neighborhood with woods surrounding it. Me and Cassian unloaded our car with the help from Mary and Vera. We got everything in the house and decided to go into our yard and have a picnic. We watched as Artemis and Lily ran around, playing with each other. I rested my head on Cassian's shoulder, looking around at everyone. What did I do to get this lucky? I wondered. What I did to have an amazing husband, friends, a daughter, and another on the way. I looked up at Cassian smiling as he looked down at me. He gave me a light smile and held me tighter. All the pain and suffering led me to this wonderful moment and I am really glad that I get to spend the rest of my life with my new found family.
