(AN: Hello again! Welcome back to another oneshot! This was once more requested by Hatsune_Ally, thanks for requesting! So in this story you're a 7 year old female ghost and you are Ghostbur's adopted little sister. (He found you in the afterlife or smt). So! "AHHH!"
You woke up in a cold sweat, clutching on tightly to your blanket. That nightmare had seemed so realistic! Everyone was gone, and you were left alone. But no, they wouldn't leave you alone like that, right?
The awful thoughts spread throughout your mind, filling you with anxiety. You hurriedly grabbed your stuffed animal, (a blue sheep called friend), before rushing out of bed and running down the hall.
"GHOSTBUR!" you screamed.
A stray tear ran down your cheek, when suddenly you heard a sound from the couch.
"Y/n...?" you heard.
You quickly went towards the voice and found Ghostbur on the couch. He appeared as if he had fallen asleep whilst reading a book. You wrapped your tiny arms around his leg and hung on tightly out of fear!
"Woah! Y/n are you okay?" he asked, a bit startled.
Too scared to speak any longer, you shook her head no.
"No? What happened? Did you get a nightmare?". You nodded a yes.
His soothing voice had started to calm you down and soon you felt your eyes closing but you quickly opened them again out of fear that you would have another nightmare.
Luckily, Ghostbur seemed to understand your dilemma and picked you up in his arms before laying you on the couch and tucking you in.
"You look exhausted n/n! You have to go back to sleep okay? And look! You have friend with you! He'll be able to protect you from anything bad happening. And to protect you even more, I can give you some blue!"
Admittedly, you felt a bit better, but when you saw the ghost start to leave, you quickly grabbed onto his shirt sleeve.
"Can you stay with me? Please?" you asked quietly.
Ghostbur softly smiled at you before agreeing.
"Sure n/n."
He sat down beside you and was about to grab his book again when you decided to climb onto his lap.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
"I sleep better with you" you answered with a small smile.
You cuddled into his chest before closing your eyes and drifting off to sleep.
"Goodnight n/n! I love you." you heard.
"Love you too, Ghostbur...." you answered before falling asleep.
