(AN: Hi everyone! This was a request from Maggie_alook_10! I wasn't given any specific pronouns so reader is female (I hope that's okay!). Y/n is 15 years old and it's all fluff! Credits to the artist, enjoy the story! :D)

You let out a sigh as you looked at the huge stack of homework beside you. You had been absent for the past week because of the flu and all the work had just been piling up. You had a math quiz, a physics paper and an english paper, along with a chemistry assignment, all due in 2 days.

You opened up your laptop and started the research for your physics paper. After about an hour and a half, you were finally done! But there was no time to waste, so you quickly got out your chemistry assignment and started doing the work. You were writing down the chemical equation for glucose (or sugar) when you heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" you said without turning away from the assignment.

"Hey n/n!" you heard your brother Karl say from behind you. "Do you want to watch a movie with me?"

"Uhm, maybe later." you answered as you turned towards him. "I just have to finish all my homework first." 

"Alright, no problem!" he replied. "Just don't overwork yourself, okay?"

"Yeah, sure." you said offhandedly as you went back to your desk.

You heard him close the door behind you and continued to work on your assignment.

2 hours later:

You had finished your physics paper, your chemistry assignment and your math quiz, now the only thing missing was the english paper. You were scouring the internet, trying to find a good subject when a knock on the door made you jump. 

"Hi again y/n! I just wanted to know if-"

Your brother suddenly stopped talking and just stared at you.

"Karl? You okay?" you asked.

"Have you been doing homework this whole time?" he questioned softly.

"Uhh, yes? Why?"

"Did you take any breaks since you started?"

You thought back to when you started. Had you taken any breaks since then?

"No, I don't think so." you answered. "But I'm almost done! I only have my english paper and that should take me about 2 hours, 3 hours tops, and-"

"Okay, no. You have been working for 4 hours and you didn't even take a break. You can finish your homework later!" he exclaimed with a smile. "Now come watch a movie with me!"

You glanced at your laptop, the blank word page staring back at you with the cursor blinking at the top.

"But-"

"No buts missy!"

He went towards you and closed your laptop before grabbing your arms and pulling you up. You stumbled a bit before he grabbed your hand and dragged you to the living room.

"So! What snacks are we eating today?" he asked.

"...Popcorn?" you replied with a small smile.

"Popcorn it is!"

He went to the kitchen and came back a few minutes later with 2 bools of popcorn and 2 cans of monster.

"What do you wanna watch?" you asked your brother.

"I don't really care, you can put whatever you want!"

You scrolled through netflix for a while before putting on stranger things.

You cuddled into the blanket you had found earlier and settled comfortably onto the couch.

3rd person's pov:

It had been about 30 minutes since the show had started and Karl was very invested when he heard a small snore from beside him. He looked to his left and saw that y/n had fallen asleep and smiled fondly at her.

He quietly got up and brought his sister into his arms before bringing her to her room. Surprisingly, she slept through it all.

Karl softly kissed her forehead before getting up and closing the light, whispering as he left.

"Goodnight y/n! Love you!"
