A week passed. You found a new apartment to call home so you moved out of Minho's place. It had been good to stay with him while you figured things out, but now you were on your own.
One evening you'd just finished having a lonely dinner by yourself when the doorbell rang. You frowned as you hadn't been expecting anyone. As you opened the door your jaw dropped.
"Yah - Park Chaeyoung - what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in France or something?!"
"I came home early" she said, looking down. "I'm sorry you weren't expecting me. I suppose you didn't get my calls or texts?"
"Oh, uh, no" you said, not wanting to admit you'd blocked her number.
"Sorry Y/N," she apologized again "I just wanted to bring you this." She reached in her bag and pulled out the scrapbook that had all your pictures together. "You forgot it when you moved out." She sniffled.
"Oh that... I thought maybe you'd want it."
"B-but... it's yours remember? I made it for you."
Seeing her holding out the scrapbook to you with trembling hands and tears in her eyes made it too hard not to accept.
"Well thanks for bringing it to me" you said awkwardly, not knowing what else to do.
"Y/N I know maybe you don't want it right now and I understand, you probably don't want to see me either since I was such a bad girlfriend, I just thought..."
A tear started to fall but she wiped it away quickly. "That if you can ever forgive me then maybe one day you'll enjoy looking at the pictures again. Because they're special memories." She was trying to keep herself together at this point.
She could've mailed it, you thought. But you weren't dumb - it was obvious she'd also wanted to see you again in person.
"I'm so sorry I messed it all up, I'll regret it for the rest of my life-" she couldn't hold it in anymore and broke down.
You sighed seeing the crying girl in front of you and gave her a stiff one arm hug. "You don't need to beat yourself up for this anymore ok? I've forgiven you Chaeyoung."
She held you tightly and nodded into your chest. "Thank you Y/N, you have a big heart." A look of worry suddenly struck her face. "Sorry but I just have to ask - is it... is it because you found someone else?"
"What? No, of course that's not the reason. I'm very much single." Your mind drifted to meeting Hanni at the bike ride - which suddenly reminded you of something. "Wait - was it you that donated 500 thousand for our team??"
She glanced at you awkwardly. "Um... yeah."
"You didn't have to do that you know. That's a lot of money!"
"I- I just wanted to. Not that I can make up for what I did or anything, I just thought... you deserve it."
"Well thank you, Chaeyoung."
She looked up at you with her big brown eyes. "P-please... call me Rosie?"
You sighed, "Thank you, Rosie." You hadn't expected just saying the name you used to call her would affect you so much. Your feelings were dangerously close to impairing your judgement. You loosened your grip on her.."Anyway..."
She suddenly broke away from you and looked at the ground. "Yeah, I'll get going. I'm sorry to show up uninvited, I just..." she struggled for words. "I sincerely hope you find someone who can love you and make you happy like I couldn't. Just..." she gestured to the photo album "just not to the point that you forget about me."
