First Love

Chapter 6

I was standing on the door of the class after the assembly.

"Isha" I heard someone call me so I turned around and saw Rishi walking towards me.

"We can't meet in the lunch today for practice" he said. Yesterday he was so worried about the practice and today he doesn't wanna do that.

"Why" I asked raising my eyebrows

"Basketball team related something" he said

"You are on the basketball team? I have never seen you practice" I say looking at him with my eyes narrowed

"Yes I am on the team. I was injured so I was not attending the practice. And why were you watching the practice" he said crossing his arms and stepping closer.

"I just saw it walking by" I said getting inside the class. I cannot tell him that I sometimes ogle at the players.

"So, are you cool with it?" he shouted standing near the door and everybody turned towards me. Why is he shouting?

"Yes, I am okay" I said waving my hand to tell him to just go. I hit my face in the desk when he still didn't leave. He chuckled and left.

Lunch is finally here I was so hungry. Shraddha and I stood up together with our lunch boxes to go to the canteen.

"Isha" someone called and I turned around. It was Divyanshi, one of my classmates.

"What were you talking about with Rishi earlier" she ask folding her hands on her chest

"Why do you want to know" I ask

"Rishi and I are close friends. He tells me everything" she said sweetly to me smiling

"Good. Then you can ask him" I told her and walked outside with Shraddha as I did not want to further continue the conversation. I don't want to get in between any drama.

It was the fifth period and I was munching on my chocolate as I was walking towards ma'am office for the speech presentation. Neither ma'am nor Rishi were present in the office when I reached. So I stood in a corner leaning my back on the wall and read my speech. I heard someone coming and hid my chocolate behind me. It was Rishi only so I continued eating the chocolate.

"Why are you eating a chocolate in the office? You are gonna get scolded" he said looking anxious and checking outside to see if ma'am is coming

I smiled looking at him "I have stage phobia and this is my stress buster" I said showing him the chocolate. He shook his head at me and continued looking outside the door. I continued reading my speech when I felt Rishi take my chocolate for me. He kept it in his pocket. His fingers brushed mine and I felt a current pass through me. It was different and definitely not static because I got goosebumps.

Someone nudged me and I concentrated on my surroundings I saw ma'am standing in front of us now. We started our speech and ma'am told us the speech was good but there were some points we can practice on.
