Chapter 21

I am hiding behind the cupboard in a classroom. Today is children's day and we all are playing hide and seek. We are divided into four groups based on our class. 11th and 12th are paired together and everyone is hiding somewhere. Two of our teachers are trying to find us.

I hear the footsteps going away so I look outside. The teachers just went ahead the room I was hiding in. I get out of that room to hide somewhere else. I get in the next room still looking outside. I bump into someone as I was walking backwards. I turned around to see Rishi standing there. I hold his arm to steady myself and he holds my wrist.

"Sorry" I said

"No problem" he said looking into my eyes. We were still looking at each other when we heard a noise from outside.

"Caught you" voice of Priya ma'am came. We left each other as fast as we can hid ourselves. I was hiding behind the teacher's desk. Priya ma'am entered the room I was hiding in. She is going to look behind the door, oh god, Rishi is gonna get caught. He is a total idiot who hides behind the gate. She looks behind the gate and there he is. He gets caught. I look at him and he saying something to ma'am looking all pouty. He is looking so cute. I just want to pinch his cheeks.

"Get out of here now" ma'am said to Rishi and he left the room still pouting. I chuckled looking at his face. Ma'am turn towards my direction.

"Come out now" ma'am said directing me to come out using her finger. I get out from under the desk and start walking out. Rishi was standing in the corridor laughing. I narrow my eyes at him.

"It is all you fault" I said hitting his arm. He laughed harder.

"How" he said between his laughs

"You were looking all cute and pouty. I was distracted by your face" I said and he stopped laughing. He stood straight and looked at me with wide eyes. I joined my lips in a thin line.

"My face what" he said.

"Nothing" I said and started walking downstairs. All the students who were caught were supposed to sit in the classrooms on first floor. I literally ran down the stairs.

"Isha, wait" I heard Rishi shouting. I looked behind and saw him on the last stair already.

"Why are you running away" he asked stepping closer to me.

"I was just. I wanted to" I said and turned around

"Wait! You don't have to be embarrassed. I get distracted by your face too" he said. I looked up at his face with wide eyes.

"What" I said blinking at his face

"We should talk" he said taking me to an empty classroom. He gestured me to sit. I sit down on the chair and he sits on the table in front of me.

"I was ignoring you on the dance practice because I was jealous. I thought you were interested in Sanskaar. I just over reacted that day because I like you" he said looking at something behind me. I literally want to scream and dance right now.

"I was jealous of Tina too. I was rude with you that day in the classroom because of that. You were too holding her hand too so I thought for sure you were together and I did not want to come in between you. And I was just too angry to behave normally" I said smiling at the floor

"So" he asked trying to see my face. I was looking anywhere but his face. I did not want him to see me all blushing.

"So what" I said looking in his eyes and grinning. He just tilted his head and raised his eyebrows. I laughed at his face.

"I am leaving" he said getting up. I held his wrist and made him sit back

"I do like you too" I said looking in his eyes. He smiled and I looked away. We stood up when we heard a knock on the door and looked there. Ayush was standing there leaning on the door grinning.

"I was rooting for you guys" he said coming towards us with his arms open to hug us. Rishi stepped forward and hugged him before he could reach us.

"Isha" Ayush said coming towards me to hug me but Rishi held him by the back of his collar and stopped him.

"Talk from here only" he said patting his shoulder and I smiled.
