"I am okay, now. You can leave" I said sitting straight on the seat.

"I will walk you to the class first, then I will leave" he said getting up

"I will leave in ten more minutes. And I am not going to the class I am going to the ground for preparations" I said and he sat beside me again

"I am not leaving you alone" he said and looked straight ahead. We sat there in silence for some minutes.

"Why were you ignoring me for the past month" he asked turning towards me

"I was not ignoring you. You were ignoring me" I said turning towards him. Our knees touched. I tried shifting back but he held my hand.

"You will fall. When did I ignore you" he asked sitting straight and turning his head only towards me. His knees were not touching mine now. Why is he so nice?

"That day in the dance practice. You just hummed at everything I said and you were rude to Sanskaar bhaiya too." I said

"Sanskaar bhaiya? You call him bhaiya but you don't me bhaiya. We are in the same year" he said looking curious

"Yes, I call him bhaiya because it is a habit of mine since we were young. And do you want me to call you bhaiya" I asked

"No I am good with Rishi. Very good actually. How do you know him for so long" he asked looking more curious

"He is my cousin. Not my first cousin but I have always been close with him" I said

"I have never seen you talk with him before" he said

"I don't usually. I don't like his friends" I said shaking my head lightly

"Oh, that is good" he said looking ahead and smiling. Why is he smiling?

"Why are you smiling " I asked looking at his face.

"Nothing. I just uh. You did ignored me they day in the class when I asked you to sit" he said keeping a hand at the back of the seat.

"Oh. I was um" I said scratching my head
"It was just that you ignored me earlier upstairs in the meeting room. So I was a little angry" I said looking down at the floor. It is embarrassing to say that I was a bit jealous, I guess.

"I didn't see you there. I had to take Dhruv's sister Tina to her class. She just is usually lost in her own world" he said

"Oh, she was standing just behind me and then you both left together and you were standing near my class when I came and you did not acknowledge me then too, so I thought you don't want to talk with me anymore" I said now fiddling with my fingers.

"I really didn't see you there. I was just too busy in helping her. I have known her since she was little. She has severe social anxiety. She gets scared in crowds. I had to get her out or Dhruv would have killed me" he said and I nodded

"I promise I will not ignore you from now on" he said and I smiled

"I promise that too" I said getting up. We left that room. I walked to the ground and continued my work. I just feel happy that we talked.

"Let's go the stage" Ayush said coming and standing beside me now. The guests have not arrived yet I don't know why he want to be on the stage now.

"Let the guests came first then we will. Just sit down" I said shifting to the side

"Next to you, oh my god" he said exasperating and I just shook my head.

"Isha" someone called and I looked up.
Rishi was standing near us.

"Chocolate" he said showing me one. I took the chocolate from him and thanked him.

"Where is my chocolate" Ayush said showing his hand.

"Why would he bring you a chocolate" I ask opening the wrapper

"Because he did for you" he said

"She is my friend" Rishi said

"I am your friend too" he said

"Here" I said giving him a piece.

"Are we finally becoming friends" he said smiling showing all his teeth

"No" I said and Rishi laughed

"She just doesn't like you" Rishi said smiling. The guests arrived and we climbed the stage. The function started afterwards.
