Entering the school I again took the route that led towards his classroom. He was surrounded by his friends like always and they all were talking and laughing. This has become a habit of mine to see what he is doing from the past week in the morning.
"Isha" Avantika ma'am said
"Yes ma'am" I said and stood up and walked towards ma'am
"You are participating in the debate competition right?" ma'am asked
"Yes ma'am" I replied
"Ok come to my office in lunch" ma'am said
"Ok ma'am" I said and went back to sit in my seat
As the lunch bell rang I went towards ma'ams office with a notebook and a pen
"Where is Rishi" ma'am said as soon as I entered her office
"Rishi?" I asked
"Rishi Mehra from 12th. He is your partner for the competition" ma'am said looking at me
"Go and call him" ma'am said after a second. I just nodded my head and started walking towards his class. I reached his class and started looking for him. He was sitting in the back and writing something in a notebook .It was the first time that I saw him sitting alone. I walked towards him.
"Are you Rishi Mehra" I asked looking straight at him
"Yes" He replied and smiled looking at me. His smile also brought a smile on my face.
"Avantika ma'am is calling you in her office" I said
"Why? " He asked
"She wants to talk to us regarding debate competition" I replied
"Ok, Lets go" He said and we started walking towards the office. There was an awkward silence between us. Ma'am informed us about the topic and asked us to prepare for it in the last period every day.
"So, were do you wanna meet for the preparation" He asked
"We can meet in the library" I replied
"Ok" He said and we walked towards our classes silently after that.
