The scent of coffee wakes Tony from his restless sleep as Natasha sits on the foot of the bed with two mugs of coffee. The genius chuckles tiredly and sits up to face her.

"You know how to wake me up." Tony grumbles.

"You're easier to read, Stark." Natasha smirks and hands him the coffee.

He hums as the warmth of the mug engulfs him like a fire. "Maybe that's just you."

She smiles. "Good."

"How is he?" Tony asks.

"He's improving. Helen says he could wake up anytime with his healing, and May is sitting with him right now."

The man smiles and nods. "That's good."

Natasha looks at the man. "You look happier as a dad."

"Yeah?"

"That kid is something else."

"Reminds me of someone else I know."

"Oh, hush."

Natasha smiles and presses a kiss to his cheek. "My sister will be here soon, and she's insistent on meeting you."

Tony feels the blood rush to his cheeks. "Oh? I wonder why."

"No idea, but I'm sure you're not nervous considering you're Tony Stark."

"Careful, Natalia, you're treading in deep water." He smirks.

"Get ready. May wants to talk to you."

"That's one of the few women I'm afraid of." He admits before getting out of bed.

"I can tell by the way you just go by her every command." She teases.

When Tony and Nataha walks to the medbay, they're immediately met with May Parker's angry face.

"You!" May calls, pointing to Tony as she walks towards him. "You promised me this wouldn't happen! This is your fault, mister!"

"May, I'm sorry." Tony apologizes with his voice breaking from the guilt.

"No, you--"

"Aunt May," Peter's hoarse voice calls to her. "Don't blame him. I was just doing my job. He tried to save me, May."

Tony steals a glance towards Natasha, who seems to be ready to fight the other woman any minute, before looking down at his feet.

"You should grab yourself a coffee, Mrs. Parker." Natasha suggests.

May looks to her nephew and walks out of the room, leaving the rest of them in the room.

"Pete." Tony says, walking towards the boy.

"Tony, are you okay?" Peter asks.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Are you?"

The teen shrugs. "I'll live."

"Yeah, you better."

Peter glances at the two adults before grinning playfully. "So, you and Nat?"

The adults stare at each other with blood rushing to their cheeks along with Peter chuckling knowingly.

"I knew it."
