I could barely think straight the next day. I hate the way Alex treats me some times. Obliged that I’d actually say yes automatically like that?! That’s all I could think about on the bleachers this morning. That and the fact Harry hasn’t shown up yet. I’ve gotten so used to seeing him nearby it sort of struck a nerve.

I’m not sure if it’s a bitter or sweet feeling I have of him though. The things he says sometimes gets me so anger, yet the way he looks at me with those eyes makes me think otherwise…

I fidgeted in my seat looking in the direction of the front gate, trying to get a good view of it in hopes that his black coat would be spotted.

“Ummmm…” a voice hummed from behind me. I jolted and turned quickly, the wind rustling with my hair. Harry takes a seat next to me, far enough where I wouldn’t be able to reach over. He bent over looking in the direction of the front gate. “Who are you looking for?” he asked. I gulped down my nervousness, “um, no one…” I said looking away, out into the dew dropped stained field.

Silence was a new friend to us and it was always there to accompany our conversations. “So…” I broke the silence. “you excited for Alex’s party?” I said in my cheery voice. He glared back at me but I tried myh best to hold my smile. “I guess…” he said stiffly. “I don’t know if I’m going anymore…” I said shaking my head. His turned to view me, I’m glad I looked away; those eyes would’ve killed me.

“What? Why not?” he questioned. “ummm…” I began. “He asked me to go with him to his party and…I basically just said no. So, I don’t really know if he’d still want me at his party this time…” I bluntly said taking in the view of his hunched over position.

“Oh, I see…But I thought you two had a thing?” Harry asked in his accent. I rolled my eyes, “NO! I’m not his girl, I’m not his girlfriend, and we’re not a thing!” I snapped, getting up, walking over to the railing in front of me. “I do one kind thing for him in freshmen year and everyone thinks we’re dating…it’s so irritating…” I released a breath and felt Harry’s presence draw nearer to my side.

“umm…” he hummed once more. “this might sound weird but…I kind of want you to go…” he nearly whispered. My heart began to race and my cheeks sunk a deep red. “Wh-what?” I stuttered. He was silent as I watched his Adams apple drop up and down, gulping.

“Well, you ARE the only one here I sort of actually talk to…” his husky rang. I stared blankly at him, is he asking me to go with him? “And you ARE my neighbor so aren’t you supposed to show me around? Yenno, since I’m new?” he asked. I let out a breathy laugh, “Yeah I guess, something like that.” I laughed a bit more, earning a crooked smirk from him, the kind where the right side was more prominent than the left.

I sighed, “Fine…I’ll go. BUT, only because we’re neighbors.” I finished with a smile, turning away to look onto the field. I’m sure he could see how much I was blushing so I had to turn away from him, continuing my idiotic smile. It was afterwards I worked up the courage to face him once more. His eyes were set toward the entrance gate behind me, he squinted his eyes, “who’s that?” he said. I swiftly turned around to look where he was. There, standing at the gate, a tall figure with his broad muscles being in view under the lights. The brown hair that illuminated in the gleam made me think first that it was Alex, and that it was. My smile disappeared. I watched as his eyebrows furrowed and his teeth seemed to clench with close lips.
