THE NEXT MORNING...

Sophie woke up and blinked.

Where was the Iggy breath? Why was there a huge chandelier on the roof? Why was she in a sleeping bag?

Then she remembered. Biana getting kidnapped (sorta), Glimmer, the Foxfire base.

She wished she had forgotten it all.

'Up early, are we?' Fitz said.

'Um, yeah.' Sophie said. No fluttering of heart.

'Look, I should say... I'm sorry.' Fitz went straight to the point. 'I totally messed up yesterday. Like, really badly.'

Sophie nodded. 'You did.'

He sighed. 'I really am sorry. I'm just too protective.'

Sophie's brain started forming a question. It settled like a lump in her throat.

'Fitz.' She swallowed. 'Do you... um...'

'Do I what?'

'Doyoustilllikeme?' She let out.

Fitz laughed. 'Don't be offended, but I did. Until yesterday, after the big Gisela revelation.'

'Oh.' She said.

'I'm happy for you and Keefe. And what Dad said to him before the tribunal... I'm absolutely disgusted.' Fitz made a face. (In case you guys didn't read this part of Flashback, Alden basically went to the Shores of Solace and told Keefe to move aside to let Fitz be with Sophie. It was on the day of Alvar's tribunal.)

'I WILL talk to him.' Fitz said.

'Fitz, don't be too hard on him.' Sophie reasoned. Other than the obvious people, she wanted to believe the best about some people.

Alden was a good person. He would have just... been blinded by love for his son?

Right.

Totally.

'Hey, guys!' Linh got up.

'Omg, I'm so tired.' Marella said.

'Same here.' Maruca said.

'Soph, wake up Keefe for us.' Linh smiled sweetly.

Sophie laughed. Then, she got a devilishly good idea.

She walked over to Keefe. She whispered to him.

'Morning, sweetie.'

KEEFE POV

I was half asleep when I heard a voice.

'Morning, sweetie.'

Had Daddy Dearest really become nicer? Or was Mommy of the Year back?

Or maybe Ro was planking me.

'RO! LEMME SLEEP!'

I got up suddenly, jerking the person in front of me on the weirdly soft floor. I was still half asleep. I leaped on 'Ro'.

It was, not Ro.

'Foster?'

THIRD PERSON POV

Sophie flushed. Keefe was on her.

'Foster?' He asked.

The room was quiet. No one was moving, not even Sophie and Keefe.

'Uh, do you mind?' Sophie asked.

'Right.' He got off. Not before stealing a quick peck on the nose, though.

Sophie smiled. Some things would never change. And that's how she liked it.

Hey guys. I tried.

To be honest, I am better at writing about adventure mystery stuff than Sokeefe. Sorry!!

I've decided to have a Chapter Question from now on.

CQ: Who is the worst non-Neverseen elf?

My answer: Lord Cassius

Bye guys!
