Sophie was fuming.
This type of torture was simply uncivilised. What did Gisela even want?
Oh right. To do experiments on her son and make him a supervillain. Of course.
'All right, Mom, what do you want from me?' Keefe sighed and faced his mother.
Gisela smirked. She looked exactly like Keefe when she did that.
It was painful to compare the two elves. Keefe was kind and supportive amazing and Gisela was so... not.
'I want you to stay here while I wait for stellarlune to finish it's process.' She said simply. 'Keefe, embrace the change. It will come. You can't stop it, why do you even try? Oh, and if you think you've controlled it, dear, you are mistaken. Stellarlune is a wild, free thing. You'll die trying, and I need you alive.'
Keefe grimaced.
'He has controlled it.' Dex said.
'Yeah, Keefe! Command her to die or something!' Biana spluttered from her prison.
'Not. A word. From you.' Gisela faced Biana.
'Or it'll get tighter.'
She spun a handle, and Biana shrieked.
'STOP!' Fitz yelled.
'Not until you give me what I want!' She spun it again.
'Please, STOP!' Dex cried.
'Aww, it's adorable that you think you have power over me.' Gisela smiled evilly.
'Do you realise, every time you use your fancy abilities like, oh, psionipathy, and Keefe is with you, you're protecting him? I don't even need to make sure he isn't hurt because you do it for me!'
Sophie gasped. She had never thought of it that way.
They had always protected Keefe. That was why Gisela hadn't taken him. He didn't have a scratch, so she could just get on with her experiments.
'We will always be one step ahead, Sophie. Always.' Gisela said to her. 'I really thought in the start that we had an enemy equal to us. Sophie, you have power. Over so many things. And yet, you waste it.' Gisela sighed.
'Use that telepathic mind of yours and calculate! We will be victorious in this little battle. Now, if you want your friend alive, I need Keefe.'
Keefe looked torn.
'I'll come.' He said.
'Keefe no!' Dex said.
'It's to protect us.' Keefe said.
Sophie was devastated.
'Keefe. Please come back soon.' She said.
He hugged her hard. 'I will.'
