Barry held Oliver in his arms, tears streaming down his face. They had managed to defeat the Anti-monitor, but it had come at the cost of the entire team. A battle over six hours that went downhill, yet they kept on fighting.

Sara had been the first to die, followed by Lex, Kate, J'onn and Ryan. Kara had died using her cells to produce a solar blast as powerful as  a star to kill the demons wile Oliver had just used the last of his Specter power to finish the monitor. Now here he laid, in Barry's arms, his life fading away from him. This was his end, his time had come.

"Barry?" He croaked

Barry, tears flowing from his eyes, forcibly chocked a response,

"Hey, Oliver. We did it." Barry's heart ached when he pictured the dead bodies of his friends and his teammates.

"It looks like we did." Oliver said in a shaky laugh. "But is this how it's supposed to be?"

"This is not how I imagined it."

"And that's why you are going to...cough...cough...fix it." Blood spluttered from his mouth as he spoke. His life was fading fast, and he needed to let Barry do what he needed to do as soon as possible. Taking the folded paper from his pocket, he handed it to Barry.

"What's this?" Barry asked as he took the folded paper.

"It's a page to reset things back to the past." Oliver told him. "I need you to go back and fix everything. I need you to recruit the team and save the multiverse. I need you to promise you'll do that for me."

Barry nodded his head. "I will. I'll see you in the past."

Oliver shaked his head in pain. "I need to die for all this to happen. I'm forever tied to the Spectre in all parts of time and I can't escape from it."

"But Oliver-"

"I need you to promise you'll take care of my family, Barry. Please?"

Barry trying to find his bearings that he was goig to lose Oliver for the rest of his life, managed to answer, "I promise on my mom's grave." If Oliver was making this sacrifice, then he needed to repay him.

Oliver smiled at Barry's response. "Thanks, Barry. But you should know that you can't win this crisis war without a harem."

Barry looked at Oliver confusingly, wondering if his friend was saying things from the loss of blood.

"I mean it, Barry." Oliver said. "I know this might sound crazy but without a harem, you can't win this crisis."

Barry looked at Oliver, then taking a painful sigh, nodded his head. "Alright, Oliver."

"And don't tell anyone about the crisis. No one has to know we once fought the Anti-Monitor and lost. No one."

Barry nodded his head. "I promise, Oliver."

Oliver smiled at his friend, darkness overtaking him. "Thanks for everything, Barry. Enjoy." And with that, he gave his final breath, becoming heavier in Barry's arms.

Barry gave way to tears as he laid his now cold-blooded friend and brother, on the ground. Holding the page, he stared at the ruins and destruction that laid around him. The sky was now completely dark, and there were fires everywhere. He stared at the bodies of his friends who lay on the ground, lifeless and cold. His eyes focused on Kara, the girl that he had secretly loved but had never been able to tell her. Caitlin, Patty, Felicity, Laurel...women he had loved but had been to scared to let them know.

He crawled to Kara's lifeless body and took her hand in his, kissing them. "I promise I would bring you back, and you're not going to die. Never and ever." he whispered to her body. He kissed her cold hand before, with a heavy heart and conviction, stood up and hold the page in his hand.

Looking at the bodies of Oliver one last time, and with the image of the multiverse destroyed in his mind, he unfolded the paper. The moment he had unfolded the last half, a blinding light came out from the paper, shining so brightly, and putting Barry into a long, undisturbed sleep.

Barry woke up and looked around as he saw that he was on the island

Barry: It seems Oliver brought me back to when he was stranded. So it must be three years before I'm supposed to get struck by lightning.

Barry ran through the forest knowing the fishing boat is to be arriving soon. He saw the  stick pile is on fire, a last curtesy from his now dead friend Oliver Queen.

Barry ran to the beach as the ship started to head to the shore after seeing the fire.
