Lian Yu - Day

A man ran through dense foliage. The figure stopped and looked up as a plane flew over the island, revealing him to be Barry.

Above Lian Yu - Day

25,000 feet up, Felicity sat with her eyes clenched shut and her fingers dug into the seat of an ancient Lockheed Electra that dated back to the time of Amelia Earhart- and she wasn't sure that this wasn't Earhart's missing plane.

(The pilot, an aged Chinese man, said something in Mandarin that she couldn't understand as Diggle came up behind her)

Diggle: Felicity, if you're so scared, why did you insist on sitting up front?

Felicity: This is the only seat with a seatbelt.

Diggle: Which will come in handy when we hit the water at 180 miles an hour.

Felicity: What?

(She whipped her head around to look at him)

Diggle: Which will not happen.

(The pilot said something else, and a sight outside the cockpit window caught Diggle's attention)

Diggle: I think that means we're here.

(Felicity looked out as the island appeared through the mists)

Felicity (Softly): Lian Yu.

(She looked back to Diggle, and her eyes widened in alarm as she saw him putting on a parachute)

Felicity (Fearfully): But you said the parachutes were just in case!

Diggle: Yeah, just in case we made it here. Come on.

Felicity: No!

A few minutes later, Diggle opened the side door of the plane, and he and Felicity squeezed out of the narrow doorway. Felicity was attached to Diggle, with their gear strapped to her chest.

Diggle (Shouting): All right, Felicity, on 3!

(Felicity shook her head)

Felicity: I can't, I'm scared! I can't—

Diggle: One!

Diggle jumped. Felicity screamed the entire way down. They floated over the edge of the island, past a half-sunken ship until they landed on the beach. Felicity managed to hold onto her vomit until Diggle unhooked her. He set about gathering up the parachute as she lost her lunch into the ocean.

Diggle: Thanks for waiting until we touched down.

Felicity: My pleasure.

(Diggle hoisted the pack onto his back)

Diggle: Let's move.

They started walking up the beach with Diggle taking point. Felicity looked around curiously, her eyes lingering on a post set into the beach. On it was a mask- half blue, half yellow, with an arrow sticking out of the left eye hole.

They moved into the forest, with Diggle quickly identifying a path to follow. He walked quickly but cautiously, his gun drawn but pointed down as he took in his surroundings. Felicity half walked, half ran behind him, struggling to keep up. Suddenly Diggle froze and held up a closed fist, signalling Felicity to stop.

Felicity: What is it?

(Diggle frowned, looking around)

Diggle: Thought I heard something.
