Kate was never really a flower type of girl growing up. To be honest, she thought they were just useless plants. She hated giving them just as much as receiving them, never understanding why everyone was so intrigued by the plants all year long and how flowers could be an appropriate gift for any type of event. The idea of gifting a plant that just dies a week later botches Kate's mind, it was such a waste of time and money, neither of which Kate ever cared about.

Had you told Kate that flowers were going to be one of her few favorite things in life a year ago..  well she would have laughed in your face. That was until the faithful day that you had entered the archer's life.

March 2

Kate lets out a groan, feeling completely bored after the 8-hour stakeout Clint had made her endure for the 6th day straight.

After learning that an exchange, between the tracksuit mafia and an Infamous underground crime boss's crew, was happening at the park sometime this week, the two archers decided to stake out the place waiting for the sign of trouble. Needless to say, Kate had barely earned a day's worth of sleep.

"Clint do we seriously need to do this!? We've been here all week, ALL day! Can't we just put cameras or something?"

Clint rolls his eyes at the girl, secretly turning his hearing aid off while keeping his eyes on the lookout for any sign of danger.

"Like seriously you let me take three showers this week... THREE! Don't get me started with the sleeping either! I get only 2 hours of sleep before you make me come back here! I just think maybe  we need to rethink this whole...." Kate loses track of thought, her mind wanting to focus on the beautiful y/h/c that has been in the community garden all week.

Kate had noticed her the first day of their stake out, letting her eyes wander over to the nearby garden as she hears a girl call over an older lady before handing her an arrangement of flowers.

She couldn't help but be lured to the girl. She had such a kind gentle aura around her while talking to the lady, smiling softly as she handed her the flowers as if they were newborn babies.

Kate had watched the girl do the same thing every day. She would get there around 8 am and start picking up any trash around the piece of land. At 9 she would start pulling out equipment from the little shed that was within the fencing before she finally started to tend to the garden for the next 3 hours with two 15-minute breaks between.

At 12 pm the girl would finally start putting some of her equipment away before waiting by the garden gated entrance, lingering there until the same group of kids came rushing over. Assuming they were with a school or daycare, as they always had the same adult with them.

The girl would let them in with a welcoming smile, letting them tend to their own section and harvest the fruits of their labor together.

Finally, the kids would leave at 1:30 pm, the gardener leaving with them briefly until her return at 3.

Kate would always find herself slightly disappointed at this time of day, knowing soon the girl was to disappear, unsure of when she'll see her again.

As expected the girl returns a little before 3, entering her garden once again. She stays for another hour handing out flowers to strangers passing by, Kate's heart swelled at the sight.

Knowing the girl had a kind soul behind all of that immense beauty was rare. Kate wasn't sure if she'd ever be able to find someone as perfect as the girl in the garden, but what she did know is that romance is not her field of expertise. If she was to go over there and say even one word to her, she would probably destroy any chance of getting her number.
