With my brother!? Pt.2 -H.S.

Summary: Hailee and griffin have separate talks about the big fight with their parents.

Just because the most recent commenter on the last part had me giggling.

"Like seriously dad!? Hailee treated y/n like shit the past few months and now she wants to fix her mistakes!?" Griffin downs his 3rd glass of whiskey of the night, facing his back towards his dad.

After the whole argument, between Hailee and Y/n during the Sunday dinner, the trio had yet to talk to each other. Well, talk to Hailee that is, Y/n and Griffin did stay in contact the night of and the day after the emotionally draining altercations. Not one word of the discussion was spoken, the both of them just silently held each other as they let their minds run a million miles per hour.

Both of them were equally confused about how they felt after it. Surely there was something between them, but with the new confession of Hailee returning the love for y/n...well that just made the whole situation even more complicated.

Y/n stayed with Griffin for the next two days until she packed her bag to leave his place, stating she needed some time alone to think. Watching Y/n pull out of his driveway and drive further from him sent his stomach swirling, it hurt seeing her leave him. Knowing his sister was the one clouding her mind and not him.

Griffin sulked for the rest of the day alone, not wanting to see anyone but y/n as he drank his lonely night away.

By the time he woke up the next day, his dad was already at his door, pounding at it until his idiotic son opened up.

After a much-needed gym session, the two men cleaned up so they could finally have the dreaded talk Griffin had been anxious to open up about.

Griffin retold the entire story of his and Y/n's time together these past months, recalling all the little things she did that caused him to slip further in love with her each time. Recalling all the times he held the girl through their shared evenings/nights together, feeling his heart break a little more each time she cries over his sister. He knew y/n loved Hailee, his sister had confided the secret confession only hours after the words left Y/n's mouth.

Griffin knew things were going to be tense between the two for a while, but he didn't expect Hailee to blow it all out of proportion as how she did. Catching her ditch y/n for countless nights, hearing his sister talk about her crazy nights out with friends and different men in front of y/n, whose light that once burned bright in her eyes slowly die alongside her heart.

Griffin felt his heart squeeze at the memory of seeing her silently cry as Hailee ditched her once again, the same night that started this whole mess.

*Flashback*

Griffin opens the front door of his parent's house, shocked to see y/n sitting on the couch, anxiously eying the stairs leading to the bedrooms upstairs.

"Oh hey, y/n. Are you and Haiz hanging out tonight?"

Y/n looks towards Griffin and gives a small smile to his greeting, he could already see the small tears that threaten to fall from the girl's glossy eyes, " yeah we're supposed to... Hailee said she had to get dressed though so I'm just waiting for her!"

Y/n knew they weren't going to hang out tonight. She had been waiting downstairs for an hour already, listening to Hailee's music blaring through the walls as the girl got ready to go out with her friends, surely forgetting the night in she promised to her best friend. But y/n didn't want to believe in that sad reality. She wanted to believe her best friend was better than the monster her mind has created during all these weeks, y/n shifts into a more comfortable position on the couch as she tries to avoid Griffin's pitiful gaze.
