"Anubhav if you move a step closer to the gate I'll shoot her"
Tara speaks to him seeing him approach the wooden door of their apartment. She kept a close look on what happened outside through her cameras.
Her plan was full-proof. She had worked for months on this. She air fired causing them to flinch in horror. Anubhav's heart sank at that sound. "Fuck", Sharad murmured looking at the pale and ghostly face of his friend.
"I am withdrawing. Don't you dare touch her", he whispered, not in fear but in coldness. Like if she would even get a scratch he would destroy the world around.
"No, Anubhav Singh, either you will see her dead body today or care for my terms. Waise bhi abh ek ghanta hi bacha hai...Man lo meri baat. Kill your dreams of a family and set her free"
The bullet shot had created a panic on the floor. The cops started to evacuate the place. Haseena's eyes too opened. Her head, hands and legs paining terrible. It took her several moments to understand what was happening.
"Tara...", she whispered in disbelief. Her smirk widened hearing her moaning in pain. She knew it will be weakening her opponent.
"Sharad", Anubhav raised his eyes and gestured him something. He nodded and commanded the others. Cops followed his lead following downstairs. Whereas Anubhav kept looking at the doorway. The happy memories hitting him hard, making it difficult for his already emotionally turmoiled mind to stay stable.
"Nahi...humne kaha na baby girl hue toh A se name...or baby Boy ka H se", she pouted as he suggested the opposite, finding it difficult to think for a good baby boy name with H.
.
"Kitna sundar lag raha hai na ye kamra?", He said putting aside the paint brushes. "Hmm", she said emotionally. "Humara Baby Anubhav", she said and hugged him not minding his condition. "Are hum pure rang se bhare hue hai", he said with a chuckle but wrapped her in his strong arms.
Haseena's condition was no different her body was paining but at that moment, she only thought to escape the situation. Her agent eyes, now, could read that Tara was for something big.
"Zyada zor mat daal apne dimag pe..." Tara said with a sly smirk. "Apne pati ke karmo ki saza bhugat rahe hai tu or Tera bacha"
Haseena gritted her teeth and looked away. "2 saal pehle meri pati or bache ko mara tha tere shohar ne...", Haseena turned her neck towards her in horror.
"Kon ho tum?"
"Pakistani agent. Jiski zindagi Anubhav ne barbaad ki...yaad hoga tujhe toh 2 saal pehle kaha tha woh tere paas?", Tara's anger grew manifold repeating her dreadful life since then. She had lost her identity, he family, home every thing.
"PoK me paise pahuchane aaye the hum dono...waha pata chala mein Ammi ban ne wali hu...(she smiled. Her hand on accord held her belly) humne phataphat apne mulk ka kaam niptaya or khud ki suraksha ke liye Banihal pahuch gaye...sab acha laga raha tha. Socha tha ye naukri chod denge. Haa, paiso ki thodi tangi hoti, lekin sab acha hota...jis raat ko apni zindagi ki Sabse khubsurat pehlu banake soye the...uski subha utni hi dardnaak. Humare shohar ko tumhare pati ne humare saamne maar diya...", Tara held the vase and threw it away making Haseena shiver.
"Na mulk me liya...na khuda ne. Khudkushi karne ki kosish ki toh sirf humara bacha cheen gaya humse"
The mother in Haseena, even after seeing the evil in her sympathized with her loss. She closed her eyes and breathed in deeply. Her eyes opened in an instant with the feeling of the cold metal of the gun.Outside was more chaos. People and media had started to gather as Tara had set the video on upload.
"Wapas ajao", Anubhav shouted as few men of STF tried to go in through climbing the pipes into the balcony. He saw the police struggle keeping the crowd at place. The situation was getting riskier for his wife with each passing second. At the moment he was Haseena's husband, the unborn's father wanting to keep them safe at any cost.
He knew after him, his team can easily captive Tara. But at least him, agreeing to Her condition would keep them safe.
Kya socha tha IB chodke apne parivaar ke saath ek aam jeevan jeeyenge. Lekin ek agent ke liye ye kabhi sambhav. Humari pehchaan humesha humare parivaae ki suraksha ke peeche rahegi...
"Kya hua Anubhav?"
"I am agreeing to her. Ye situation kharab hoti Jaa rahi hai" he said plainly avoiding his best friends eyes.
"Out of your mind?", he yelled at him grabbing others attention. "We will do it", he motioned to the STF to go ahead.
"Do it after she is safe", he replied rudely. "Shut up...I am giving you no right to destroy my bestfriends life", he whispered back in a cold tone. Since the media and people were gathered it took no time to help Tara get a idea of what idea was happening. She was no less than him, an agent for the opponent country. She has spend entire two years plotting against her enemy- him.
She typed in a threatening message and that was enough for him.
Kaha Jana hai?
Tara recorded a message hearing which he wanted to cry.
Shayad hum kabhi apne bache ko na dekh paaye, the thought broke every air of life in him.__
"Ye bhi toh ek Maa tha. I have to play with her emotions. Hum jaante hai agar humne jaldi nahi ki toh Anubhav iski baat maan lenge. Ya Allah, humare parivaar ki raksha kijye"
Haseena started to cry loudly, moaning in pain to grab her attention.
"Chup Karo. Ye natak mat karo humare saath", Tara yelled at her. She looked at Haseena struggling, Trying to free her hand to keep it over her belly . Her warnings had no effect on her.
"Please Tara. Humme washroom use karne do. Humare pet me bahout dard ho raha hai", Her sobs only turned louder. Haseena noticed Tara's eyes turning soft. She continued to play on her ego and sentiments. "Please, Tara humme bahout dard ho raha. Cramps aa rahe. I need to use wash room", tears trailed down her chin continuously.
"Tum humme bhi marna chahti ho toh maar lo. Lekin daya karo itni. Ye dard humse or humare bache se nahi Saha ja raha"
Tara looked at her with pity. Her own hell of a time flashed in front of her eyes. "Chahe gunpoint pe hum le jao...", She started to cough faking to vomit.
___
"Give this to her after I leave...", Anubhav's tone sounded nothing more than professional. Even Sharad could not read behind those orbs. "Please Anubhav, think about Haseena. We will keep her safe", Jennifer requested him. Though everything was off between them since the start of this case but he mattered to him.
"Jai Hind", he saluted them and turned with a sigh not glancing even at his best friend. Neither did he speak a word.
How difficult are those good byes? Those we think can be the last.
Among the crowd he found a familiar feminine face...Mahira. She had rushed to this place seeing the threat video going viral. She felt betrayed but for few moments. As her mind processed things, a pang of guilt took over her. Was all of this because he chose to help her? Did it ruin his family?
He whispered a sorry internally and left. She saw him dissapearing. The surroundings faded for her with tears brimming in her eyes. She felt frustrated. Not understanding, was he safe?
_____
"Aahh", she fell back as she tried to stand. "Chalo ab natak mat karo", she coiled the gun and placed it on her head.
"Shukriya tumhara", she held her hand for support. Tara prepared her self if she tried to act smart. As Haseena neared the door she ran and closed leaving her behind. A gun shot was fired...
