Court

It's the next day, I dreadfully wake up in Everlieghs room, with Carl laying next to me on her little bed.

"Morning" Carl says as he rubs his eyes.

"Yeah" I say walking out the room to make a cup of coffee.

"Lip and Fi are going to come to court with us" Carl says as he walks behind me and places his hands on my hips

"Ok" I say as i'm sipping my coffee

"Mya" Carl says as he grabs my hand

"Yeah" I say as I can feel tears form in my eyes

"It's not your fault" He says as he grips my hand tighter

"Yes it is Carl, non of this would have happened if I woke up earlier, Or if Ian never had a house key. I was the one who gave him the key thinking I could trust him. It's my fault Ev is dead. I should be the one going to jail" I say as sobs leave my mouth

"You're acting like you can predict what was going to happen. You didn't know, I didn't know. No one knew. Now get ready, we have to leave in an hour. I love you ok Mya. I fucking love you" Carl says as he also has tears rolling down his face.

I wipe the tears from off of his face "I love you too Carl" I say and plant a small kiss on his forehead.

I get ready, I put on a tight black leather skirt, and a long sleeved purple shirt, and black heals.

"Looking sexy" Carl says and smacks my butt

I let out a slight chuckle and walk back downstairs.

about 10 minutes later, we both finish getting ready, and we head out.

"I never would have though I would have to go to court for someone killing my little girl" I say as i stare blankly out the window.

Carl sighs and continues driving.

We arrive to the court house and I see Fiona and Lip standing at the front, Along with Kev and V.

"I'm so sorry this happened to you." V says as she tightly wraps her arms around me.

"It's fine" I say as i hug her back.

"I don't know what to do about Ian though. I don't want to eat him out, but he's kind of the whole reason that Ev is dead" I say clearly stressed out.

"Well, it's his bipolar Mya he can't help it" Fiona says

"Fuck Ian, and fuck his bipolar. My baby is DEAD. Maybe someone should have been making sure he's taking his meds. crush it up into his applesauce. SOMETHING!" I say yelling and Fiona and walking into the building.

Me and Carl sit down in the front, with my dad on the other side.

"Case number #28692, Gallagher Vs Coleman" The judge says.

"So Mr and Mrs Gallagher, where where you the morning you realized Everliegh was missing" she says looking down at some papers.

"I had just woken up, and I went down stairs to go and get her from her room, and she wasn't in there" I say as i grip carls hand tightly from under the table.

"And Mr Gallagher where where you when this occurred." She says looking over at carl, looking at him like she remembers him from somewhere.

"I was upstairs and Mya yelled for me" Carl says looking at her blankly.

"Now Mrs.Gallagher, I want you to tell me everything that happened from the very beginning" The judge says and crosses her hands.

I tell her everything, from the second I woke up, to the second Ev passed away in the ambulance.

"Ok, Now Mr. Coleman. Tell me everything that happens from your side" the judge says looking at him coldly.

"I was at my house, Mya's mom was there. Then some red headed boy named Ian came to me with Everliegh, and told me it was Mya and Carls baby. Then, we went over to my buddy's house and i bought some shit from him, Carrot head left Everliegh with me. I was there for about an hour. I locked her in the bathroom. I took her and went under the L, I gave her some edibles before Carl and Mya got there. Then I pulled out a bag of coke and that's when Mya and Carl got there" He says, not regretting anything in the slightest.

"I think this is handled. Mr Coleman, you will be arrested until death, charged with murder, kidnapping of a minor, and child endangerment. With no parole. You will owe Mr and Mrs Gallagher 100k. This case has been dismissed" The judge says and hits the table with her hammer.  "Good to see you cleaned your self up Gallagher" The judge says as she walks away.

"Who is that" I say confused

"That's the judge that put me in juvie" Carl says with a laugh.

"Oh right. Well, good to know we won't be seeing him around. Ever." I say walking out of the court room.

"Yeah, there probably out looking for Ian right now" Carl says upset

"Yeah, we'll now we gotta figure out Ev's funeral" I say with a sigh.

"Everything will work out" V says as he rubs my back

"It will all passover, who knows, y'all will probably have another one running around in like a year" Kev says with a smile

"I don't think this will ever passover. Imagine if this where one of the twins" I say getting into the car and slamming the door.

"I don't ever wanna have kids again" I say as I put on my seat belt.

"I think the sarge wants me to go into work tomorrow. are you going to be ok home alone" Carl says clearly worried.

"Yeah, I'll be fine. You'll need to start working sooner or later." I say as i look into his eyes deeply.

Words can't describe how much I love Carl. He's my first true love, I don't think I could ever stop loving him. Carl Gallagher will be the only man I could look in the eyes and my stomach will drop. I still get butterflies when i'm around him.

"Hey you ok" Carl says looking over at me

"Yeah, i'm just thinking."
