Sitting on the flight, Vansh reflected on himself. He had not even realised when he had started changing into one of them- one of those heartless people who care for nothing except money. The news of his father's accident came as a shock but everyone's prime concern was the upcoming crisis in the company. Even being a second generation rich kid is tough at times. You don't get even a minute to fall weak infront of emotions; your life is driven by responsibilities. He had to immediately leave for India.

However it was not to take care of his wounded father or to support his stressed mother but to manage the company and to assure the stock prices don't fall. He himself could not believe his priorities had changed.

====================================

Right after landing, Vansh rushed to the hospital to inquire of his father. He would never become one of them, his love and family would always be his priority.

Natheless his guilt did not stay for long. He realised his father was drunk-driving then and ended up hitting a pole injuring himself. His mother had managed the police and media already. He was called back just to secure his position so that no one else could overtake his position. 'Things had changed or had it always been like this?' he wondered. Had he actually been blind all these years and thought his family to be the ideal family bonded with love.

 Everything suddenly felt new to him.

===========================

It was his first time taking over such a big responsibility. There was no other option than to embrace it. Having completed all the tasks at par, he could finally call it a day.

On reaching home, Vansh was welcomed back by his mother and Ridhima's mother. It was a relief that their friendship was still intact. The slight chances that everything was still the same elated him.

"Ridhima didn't come?", was his first question.

"No. She is still in her hostel", her mother sighed.

She did not contact him even once in so many years and now she did not even come to welcome him. People aren't so ignorant even to their mere acquaintances and here, he was her childhood friend at the least.

"How is she?", he asked after collecting the broken pieces of his heart.

"God knows. That girl does not even pick up our calls. Her cousin is her local guardian. He updates us about her performances", she replied. Yash could not help chuckling at the revelation.

Even Yash had accompanied Vansh to India. It was his long time wish to visit India and noticing a chance, he had immediately grabbed it.

"Your fairy does not reply to anyone. You are not the only one she ignores", he whispered in a teasing tone.

"How about I go and visit her once?", Vansh suggested to her mother, trying to ignore Yash.

"Maybe we can convince her to pick up your calls", Yash supported.

"Go ahead", she smiled looking at her friend, going into ecstasies about turning their friendship into relationship.
