"...it drives you insane isn't it? Knowing that your empire are not all that powerful..."

The man's head was thrown back followed by a distinct sound of bones cracking. Mouth agape as blood flows down his chin onto the concrete floor. He was tied on an old wooden chair and the wood whined as he shifted his weight.

Another man in a white dress shirt with a black slack looks out of place donning an expensive watch and polished black shoes; step into his view. The nonchalant look marred on the man's handsome face caused chills to run up his spine.

The man grabs a handful of his sweat drench hair and pulled them harshly. For a moment everything was silent, only the gentle wave of the sea could be heard, swaying the old ship back and forth.

When the man speaks, his voice calm yet menacing, "Do you want to hear a bedtime story Xavier?"

The man tied to the chair whimpered softly when his name was uttered by the man. The man that he didn't expect to personally pay a visit that night. The man that only a minority of people recognized. The man that everybody wishes to befriend. Few knew him by face and most knew him by the chain he wore around his neck; some says it's a family heirloom that can only be worn when he's out for a hunt.

"There was... once a child", the hunter started. His voice is almost kind, as if actually telling a story to a mere child.

"Have yet to reach his teen. Though some people claim his hand had more blood than an average size man", he paused to let go of Xavier's head before the hunter reached behind his back to withdraw a pocket knife.

The knife itself causes his heart to pick up its pace and he embarrassingly startled when the hunter started to speak again, "Some say he's one of the most powerful men of all, some say he's inhuman. While actually he seek not power, nor immortality but a purpose he so believe and in order for him to achieve those... he require people like yours to be sweep off of the face of the earth"

"I beg you..."

The hunter exhales in a tired manner, "Shhh... why do all of you start to beg when it involves the possibility of you being dead? Didn't it ever cross your mind to mind your own business and not play with what belongs to someone else while knowing the consequences? Hmmm? Didn't your brain work beforehand?"

"This is insane! You're related to us by blood..."

The harsh laugh the hunter let out caused the man to pull back as if someone had slapped him. His laughter echoes through the empty space.

"He makes a joke. Didn't think he had it in him", another man hiding behind a shadow said in amusement and the other two men standing close to him chuckled in agreement.

The hunter nodded in response before asking, "So, shall we send just a warning... or create another play hide and seek with this man's boss?"

"A new shipment will come in tomorrow and your family requires your assistance", replied the man hiding behind the shadow.

"Fair enough", the hunter then turned to the man in front of him, "Now, Xavier. There are two options for you... either you prefer me to cut off a part of your body..."

"No... no, please"

"Shhh... I resented it when someone begged. You should've paid attention to what I said a few minutes ago. Now where was I? Ah yes, either you would like me to cut part of your body and send it to your boss as a warning or... would you prefer me to shoot you to death and hang you in front of their porch, also... as a warning?"
