Seeing her mom having a breakdown as tears streak mascara run down her cheek was not something she would've expected to see once they safely arrive at the villa. 

They had just step on the outside foyer when she notice the door had been left ajar and had witness her mother in such a state with her father holding her back from clawing her nails on Mr's Romanov's remorseful face.

"Relaxing vacation? Fun you say?", her mother literally spat out the word as her father tries to console her and it seems to enrage her even more as she whirled around to turn her rage at her father, "You did this! You let her go with these fucking criminal and now she's..."

The girls noticed me standing on the doorstep and swiftly embraced me as they cry harder than they had ever cried before. The Romanov had also move forward to check on Lorenzo as they bring us inside the house.

I let out a forced chuckled as I chide the girls lightly, "I am unharmed guys, come on"

Vittoria's lower lips wobbled as she held back her tears, "Don't you ever scared us like that again. They said you we're hold up by the shooting accident at the highway on your way here"

I share a look with Regina as she signalled me to play along. I pull Vittoria into a hug as I rub her back reassuringly, "I am fine Vittoria. Everything is fine. We manage to out past the shooting area just in time"

Vittoria broke from my embrace as she chide me, "You better stick with us the whole trip, Maddy"

"I will", I groan playfully.

They steers away awkwardly when my mom come towards me and held my face in both of her hand once she stands in front of me, "I shouldn't have let your father approve of this mad idea. I almost lost you"

"I am fine mom", I replied softly though hesitantly, still foreign with her rare shows of affection.

"Well that's no thanks to these criminal", my mom sneer as she turn her attention to the Romanov once more.

"Mom it's not their fault. No one would have know...", I tried to reason with her.

Her mother won't let her finish her sentence as she turn to face Diego, "It was your fault isn't it? Ever since you come into the picture..."

"Mom stop it! The accusation getting out of control...", I gritted the words between my teeth.

"This fucking family is out of control Madelyyn, they are criminal and..."

I have enough as the words came out of me before I can think twice before saying them, "If they're criminal then that will make us a criminal as well"

Her mother furrow her eyebrow in confusion as she tilt her head slightly, "What did you say"

"I know about the true nature of our so called 'business' mom so you can stop making the Romanov to be below us when in actuality we're engaged in the same field", I said tiredly.

"Who told you?", she narrowed her eyes at me before throwing an accusing look on Lorenzo whom had look at her mother guiltily.

"Keira", her father warned her in a low gravely tone.
