Chapter 8: Field Trip

The Sun arises over Beacon Academy and shines upon the large school. Inside a dorm, the light of the bright sun shines through a opened window and it soon looms over to Lanz Corvine, who is sleeping peacefully on the bed. As he laid there, his slumber is soon disturbed by the light shining over his head, causing him to groan. 

Lanz opens his eyes slowly before letting out a loud yawn. As he looks at the ceiling, his eyes widen in surprise and confusion, realizing that his ceiling is somehow different. Somehow... wooden.

He then sat up from his bed and realizes something else as well. The Vigilant Crow looks down and gasps in surprise that he is shirtless. But his fit body is covered by a bandage around his right chest to his right arm. As he felt his body, he hears a voice groaning beside him. He sat up and turns to the noise and realizes there's someone sleeping beside him and is also hiding inside a blanket.

Wondering and curious who the person beside him is, he slowly moves his hand towards the blanket. And as he pulls the blanket off the person hiding inside, his eyes widen in shock to see Weiss, with her hair down and wearing a faded blue nightgown with short sleeves and white trim and display the Schnee Crest on the upper-right chest. 

Seeing the sleeping Ice Queen before him, Lanz was confused. He looks back at his shirtless chest before looking back to Weiss. And a few moments of silence, Lanz had realizes the scenario he's in. And just thinking about those things inside his head, causes him to fluster so much, his face became redder than an tomatoe, but not as red as Ruby's cape.

As Weiss sleeps, she hears a scream beside her and a loud "Thud!" followed. Because of this disturbance, Weiss opens her eyes a few times before sitting up from her bed and rubs her eyes. She then turns her head to the noise she heard and notices Lanz on the floor, holding on the bandaged wound on his chest as he quietly groans in pain, while still having a blushed expression.

Weiss: Lanz? What are you doing?

Lanz: W-What does it look like? 

Lanz said as he leans back on the side of Weiss's bed before turning his head back to her.

Lanz: B-But more importantlyl; W-Why am I shirtless?! 

Weiss: You don't remember?

Lanz: Remember what?!

Weiss: We did the thing last night.

Lanz: Th-The thing?

Weiss: Yeah...

The two stared at each other's faces for a moment and Lanz turns away to her and holds the sides of his head as he then says...

Lanz: Oh gods what have I done? Mother, forgive me for I have done a terrible did to my friend! She's probably disappointed at me right now.

Lanz said as he hung his head low.

Weiss: What are you talking about? What terrible did? I only patched you up.

Lanz: Wait... what?

The Vigilant Crow looks back at Weiss as she starts to explain of what happened last night.

Weiss: You seriously don't remember? After you had your first encounter with General Ironwood, you were shot in the chest by him and you were in so much pain. So, me and your team came to you and patched you up. But your friends wanted to stay at the party for a bit longer, so I decided to bring you back to our dorm to patch up. Then, when I was wrapping the bandages around your chest, you suddenly fell a sleep.

Lanz: O-Oh... but that still doesn't answer my other question. How and why am I shirtless?

Weiss: How do you think I wrapped those bandages around your chest.
