"You! You did this!"

Everyone, besides Eddie, who seemed used to it, jumped at the sound of Mrs Kaspbrak's raging voice.

They had no idea what to do after they left the house on Neibolt street, so Ben had the brilliant idea to take Eddie home to his mother. Little did he know how much he would truly regret that.

She acted just the way they had predicted; loud, outraged, and was already blaming them without giving anyone a chance to explain.

"You know how delicate he is!" She hissed.

Sydney understood a parent being upset about their child's health. But when they got there, Mrs Kaspbrak hadn't let any of them get a single word in before she started shouting at them. She literally grabbed Eddie by the back of his neck and dragged him to the car.

"We were attacked, M-M-- Mrs K." Bill tried, but Mrs Kaspbrak slammed the door shut after pushing Eddie into the passenger seat.

"No. Don't. Don't try to blame this on anyone else."

Sonia fuddled around with her purse before her keys fell to the floor.

Beverly went down to pick them up for her, but before she could, Mrs Kaspbrak slapped her hand away.

"Get back!" She yelled, Beverly jumping back and stepping closer to Sydney, who was glaring harshly at Mrs Kaspbrak.

She swiped her keys up from the floor and leaned close to Beverly, "Oh, I've heard of you, Miss Marsh. And I don't want a dirty girl like you touching my son."

"She's not an animal." Sydney hissed, taking a protective stance in front of Beverly.

Sonia looked down at her with a sneer, "Disgusting girl. I've heard of you, too, Miss Ripsom. Have some respect for your elders, dear. That way you'll have someone to take care of you when you're dying in the hospital of lung cancer. Unless you want to end up just like your sister."

Beverly grabbed Sydney's hand when she took a daring step forward, pulling her back a little.

"You bitch." She hissed, jaw clenched so tight she was surprised she hadn't chipped a tooth.

"Someone really ought to teach you some manners." She hissed before looking back at the others, Beverly pulling Sydney back at little.

"Mrs K, I..." Bill tried again.

"No!" She cut in, "You are all monsters! All of you." She pointed, her harsh gaze landing on each of them. "And Eddie is done with you. Do you hear? Done!"

With that, she stomped her loud feet off the pavement and across to the drivers side, jumping in and lowering the car a little for a moment.

Sydney didn't dare look at Eddie, because she knew if she did she wouldn't be able to stop herself from letting the tears glazed over her eyes fall freely.
