aki watched as angel put some food in a small box, putting it in a bag afterwards.

"angel" aki spoke, causing angel to tense up. "yes..?" he answered as he turned to look at him. "where are you going with that food?" aki asked, putting out his cigarette.

"i was going to eat it outside" angel began making his way to the door. "i'll be back soon, promise" he reassured as he walked out of the door. aki squinted, suspicious of how angel was acting.

aki, a few minutes after angel left, followed him. he was curious to see where he was actually going. he watched as angel walked into an abandoned building.

'this is where we were searching for that devil..' aki thought as he lit a cigarette and walked in. he glanced around, perking up when he heard quiet giggling from nearby. aki went up a short flight of stairs, the giggling getting louder as he went.

aki stood in front of a door, where the noises originated. he thought about how to enter. should he just walk in? or should he kick the door down?

without hesitation, he simply knocked, which caused the giggles to stop. "hello?" aki asked, only to be met with more silence.

moments later, aki opened the door, revealing angel and the child devil. angel was covering them with one of his wings, protecting them.

angel stared down aki as he nervously glanced towards the child. aki's softened, seeing the small devil cowering behind the wing.
"i'm not here to hurt you" aki stated.

"m-maybe not, but you're gonna tell me off to makima for coveting a devil..." angel said, obviously scared. aki sighed. "no, i won't. i know you wouldn't do something this without reason" he explained, walking closer to the two.

aki then knelt in front of them. "i wouldn't kill a child, even if they are a devil." he reassured. "besides, you don't seem much like a threat to society anyway"
he stood up and glanced around. your room seemed to not really have much in it, considering that it's an abandoned building and such.

aki looked towards you. "you can stay at my house, if you want" he offered, causing both you and angel to perk up. "r-really?" you asked, poking your head out from angel's wing. aki nodded.

you looked towards angel, who was skeptical. "you're...you're not gonna try to lure them in and kill them, are you?" he asked. "no. if i wanted to kill them, i would've already done it the moment i got here" aki said.

after some moments of hesitation, angel had agreed to let you stay at aki's house with the rest of the crew. they walked to aki's apartment. you were pretty excited to be staying somewhere else for once, especially somewhere where somebody (hopefully) didn't try to kill you.
