"L- I mean, Ryuzaki." Chief Soichiro Yagami tried to get L's attention.
"Yes?" L answered while dropping five lumps of sugar into his tea.
"How much longer will you suspect my son? You've gone through many tests so far and yet you still suspect him to be Kira? I don't get it; what about my son makes you think he's Kira?" the chief questioned.
"Truthfully? His intelligence. The way he thinks; he, to me at least, thinks exactly like Kira. He gives me scenarios of which I believe only Kira has knowledge enough to anticipate. Furthermore, He knows of things we don't know of
yet. Each time he gives me a scenario, he mentions strange things about Kira's power then shortly after, we find out about that certain power. I'm surprised in you! I figured you, of all people, Mr. Yagami, would notice this." L explained while stirring then sipping his super sweet tea.
"I guess you're right... I think that it's the fact that he's my son is all..."
"Ryuzaki?" Watari's voice came from one of the Speaker-phones.
"What is it Watari?"
"Ah-Umm. Yes, Light Yagami is here asking for you... Should I send him in or would you like to come out and speak with him?"
"I should wish to meet him out there. We have certain items of which I don't want him to know of yet." L lied obviously.
"Very well." Watari stated then faded out.
"What? Since when do we have things we couldn't show Light? Does this mean we're getting somewhere with the Kira case?" Matsuda questioned with his tiny brain unable to tell a lie from the truth.
"Easy Matsuda. That was simply a lie to make Light sweat a little. Nothing more." L explained to the raisin sized brain that lies within Matsui.
