You Light My Way

Chapter 3

"What took you so long?" Light questioned to the black haired beauty walking out of headquarters.

"Oh, Nothing. Just trying to explain some things to Matsuda is all. So what did you need to see me for Raito-kun?" L asked just too cutely to resist.

"I just needed to get out of the house. Jeez! Who knew girls could be so annoying?" Light complained about the whining blond still at the house.

"That's why some people settle on men to fall in love with instead of putting up with girls. Plus Misa-Misa is famous. No doubt she's used to getting what she wants." L tried to explain; still adorable.

"Ry-Ryuzaki...?"

"Yes?" L provoked Light.

"... nothing.... never mind..." Light looked away blushing. L sighed. He was hoping for Light to kiss him. What was it about this brown haired man that made him feel whole yet suspecting at the same time? He could no longer bear it. All at once L grabbed the college student and started kissing him passionately yet hesitantly.

Light, loving the sweet taste of the other man's lips, kissed back with no hesitation. He put one hand on the back of L's neck then the other he had wrapped around L's waist. This made L more active. He put both of his hands on Light's back, deepening the kiss even further.

"LIGHT?" Misa called after the brunette.

The shouting startled them both and forced them apart. "Shoot... I knew... I shouldn't... have said... where I was going..." Light said out of breath.

"No. It's a good thing you did." L said with no problems breathing at all.

"How's that?" Light questioned trying to hide the fact he still couldn't breathe right.

"Now we have reason to no longer stay out here in the chilling breeze. Or would you have preferred me strip us both out here in the cold?" L teased the blushing college student.

"LIGHT!?" Misa called angry now. Had Watari already spoken to her of their whereabouts?

"We should probably sneak in the back..." Light suggested.

"No need. I told Watari to lock the gate and make sure he told anyone needing to see you or me, that we are in a very important meeting and no one is to interrupt us." L said with a smirk.

"Yea but as you said, it's chilly out here." Light teased back.

"Oh, touché" They both grinned at each other then snuck around back. Once inside they walked up the stairs to the only room with no cameras; L's room.
