You Light My Way

Chapter 6

Light jumped off L as if nothing had ever happened between them and quickly got dressed. L, who was still confused as hell, slowly followed the brunette's lead. Light was dressed within thirty seconds. He kissed the sweet loving man then ran out the door.

What exactly was it that L had heard? The sound was muffled even more now and he couldn't be sure whether the commotion had settled or if he was still in shock from ever hearing it; therefore making it harder to hear.

Seconds later L heard Light yelling at someone, still muffled, yet... close... He couldn't quite put his finger on it... but something about Light's voice made him feel sorry for the person he was scolding. The black haired man ran out into the hall to inspect who Light was hollering at. His first glance was answer enough. All he had to see was the blonde pigtails at the top of her head and the black clothes to tell who it was.

The famous Misa Amane, the stupid model who thought she could bribe her way into Light's heart, was crying on the floor with her mascara smeared. Even though L hated this man-thief, he couldn't help but feel sorry for  her.

"I TOLD YOU TO NEVER BOTHER ME AT HEADQUARTERS!" Light yelled.

"Raito-kun?..." L tried butting in.

"WHAT!?!" Light accidentally yelled at L. He took  few deep breaths. "What...?"

"I-I-I'm sorry!" Misa whined. "I just wa-wanted to see you!"

"Miss Misa?" L tried again this time succeeding. She wiped her eyes and they both looked at him curiously. "I'm sorry. Me and Raito-kun are both males... we don't belong together... I'm sorry..." L said trying to hide his sadness.

"Ryuzaki! I don't love her! And what happened in there; I'd say we belong together! Didn't you feel any of that? I love YOU and just moments ago I proved it! I love you with all my heart, body and soul!" Light explained.

"I see..." L said no longer hiding the sadness in his voice. L looked up to the ceiling then scratched his leg and the back of his neck.

"Light...?" Misa tried.

"Shut up you dumb blonde; go home already and get out of my way." Light managed without anger, still staring at the magnificent man before him.

"Raito-kun? If what you say is true... then would you consider... living here... with me...?" Ryuzaki hesitated.

"Yes." Light said without thinking about it. He already knew what he was going to say. He told himself a long time ago that if L ever asked him to move in with him; he'd say yes with no hesitation.
