"Doctor! Bonjour!" Vanitas released your hand and happily ran to the doctor as though being reunited with a friend. "It's an honour to see you again! I knew, if you were still in Paris, this is where I'd find you."
"Oui, oui. I'm impressed that you remembered how to find the place, Number 69!" Moreau said. "Oh. And who are these people with you? Why, they're armed to the teeth! Friends of yours?" Moreau asked, looking behind Vanitas.
"Actually, Doctor, these are friends of yours!" Vanitas said with a smile, tilting his head to the side.
"Huh?!" Maria and Georges shock from behind.
"As we journeyed through the catacombs, I explained the glory of your magnificent experiments! Naturally, they were quite moved by your genius, and vowed to assist with your endeavors in any way they could." Vanitas explained. "As you may have noticed, they all happen to be Chasseurs, which means they'll be extremely useful, not only as your assistants, but bodyguards as well!"
"Oh, that's... incredible! I applaud your ambition, my dear boy!" Moreau replied to his "gesture". "And I must say, I'm relieved! If you had been a band of evildoers come to capture me, I'd have had to kill you on the spot!"
"Huuuhhh!?" Moreau parted from Vanitas as he glimpsed on your movements hoping to hide behind yourself. He skipped the over to the anxious you. You flinched slightly, which went unnoticed. "You look veeerrryyy familiar!"
Within a second, you quickly glanced behind the doctor to Vanitas, whose eyes held a look of worry, and then back at the crazy man.
"I apologize, doctor, but you must be mistaken..." you forced a polite smile which was then replaced with a crestfallen expression, and closed your eyes for a sorrowful effect. "I don't think I have met you before. How unfortunate that is for me, though!"
"Oh! Oh! That is alright! You now know about me thanks to No. 69!" He jumped around gleefully and, afterward, clapped his hands to gather the attention of his helpers. "Come, come, my faithful servants! We must prepare to entertain our guests!" Moreau said, walking away from all of you.
"Vanitas, what was that?" Noé asked.
"Believe me, flattery is the quickest way to get what you want out of Doctor Moreau." Vanitas said, not once glancing back at Noé. "He'll probably even answer questions we haven't even asked yet.
"Where are the abducted vampires? Is he the only one behind the kidnappings? We'll know all that and more before this is over. Then we can simply let the Chasseurs do as they see fit with him. "
"Or perhaps I might reserve the pleasure of killing him for myself." he whispered to himself as his smile grew angrier that you notice behind him.
All of you then headed to where there was a table, it being situated in the middle of the room among all of the cables on the floor.
