Avatrice cafe AU

Ava has been working in that cafe for quite a bit. A few months. She had gotten used to the regulars, knowing their drinks by heart. Except for one. The quiet young girl who always went for something new. She could never guess the drink. It intrigued her. Or you could say that she intrigued her. The stranger would sit in the cafe the entire morning, just reading books. Every day, she had a new book. Ava couldn't even google about a book for the next day to start a conversation because the girl would be done with it by then. It would be creepy to just mention an old book to her, showing that she had been paying attention to what she had been reading.

-Good morning., said the young woman as she walked up to the counter.

-Hi there. What will it be today?, asked Ava as she was cleaning the coffee machine.

-Mmmm, a Mocha Coffee please., ordered the woman, watching Ava as she always does.

-Alright. I'll take it to your usual table., nodded Ava with a smile.

The girl smiled back shyly and walked away to her table. She sat down, taking yet another book out of her backpack. She opens the book and starts reading.

Ava made the Mocha Coffee as demanded, taking the order and bringing it to the table.

-Thank you, Ava., nodded the girl.

-You know my name?, said Ava in surprise.

-Well yes, you have your tag on today., smiled the girl, looking up at Ava now.

-Oh. Yeah, my boss got me one yesterday. Forgot about that., chuckled Ava, nodding as she realized.

-Well I'm glad that I can put a name to your face and voice., replied the girl.

-Yeah? See, this is the part where you tell me your name., smiled Ava, unsure if this was flirting or just a normal conversation.

-Right. I'm Beatrice., said the girl who finally revealed her name.

-That's a beautiful name. It suits you., smiled Ava, leaving the table now.

Beatrice was left with flushed cheeks and a shy smile. She took a sip of her coffee as she watched Ava walk away.
Meanwhile, Ava was content about what she had just done and said.

The few next days, Ava had talked to Beatrice for a bit, always starting new conversations, whether it was about how Beatrice always picked a new coffee or about what Ava wanted to do in the future. A week had passed, giving Ava the time to decide on whether or not she would or should act on her growing crush on Beatrice.

It was a calm Tuesday morning when Beatrice walked in. She walked up to the counter like she always did but this time, something was different.

-Hi Ava.,smiled Beatrice.

-Hi Beatrice. What do you want today?, asked Ava as she put everything away to pay attention to the order.

-Hmmmm. You know what? How about you decide for me today? I trust your taste., smiled Beatrice as she immediately walked to her table after.

Ava raised her eyebrows, not knowing what to say. She looked at the list of drink and smirked. She would make her special drink. She always drank it as a child. She made it quickly, adding something. She walked up to Beatrice, playing the drink on the table.

-Orange juice, with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream., smiled Ava as Beatrice looked at her.

-That's...Is that even on the drinks list?, asked Beatrice with an amused smile.

-Nope. Try it.,replied Ava, still smiling brightly.

-Fine. Okay., chuckled Beatrice as she took the straw between her lips, tasting the drink.
