"I used to be a doctor, I know how to cure your people! They don't trust me though...Have Mako give them the cure!"

"Ugghh no thanks. He is being mean and unfair, and I don't want to talk to him right now. Or ever again. Anyway, the sick people don't have a reason not to trust you, they didn't hear the speech."

"Fine. My medicine bag is right here. Do you want to help?"

"I guess. I will comfort the patients. Let's go."

We had given the cure to everyone in the tribe when Mako went up to speak.

"I have two important things to announce. One- Tayope tribe has the disease also. Two- Cayme has...gone."

Everyone gasped, including me. Sure Cayme and I were not close friends, but I respected him and he was my leader! Even Mako was tearing up over his death. Cayme was the first one to have died from the disease.

Suddenly, one by one, all of the sick people came out of their huts, looking a lot less pale.

Mako gasped. "What in the...How did you..." Looking back and forth between us and the healthy sick people Mako shouted, "WHAT DID YOU DO?!?!"

Walking over to Chris, he hugged him. Mako never showed affection, he never hugged! Chris had finally won the tribe's respect.

After Chris and Mako finished talking about medical stuff, Chris walked over to Lexis and I.

"Guys, you are probably wondering where your mom is."

"Yes!!!!!" we replied in unison.

"Well, the truth is, she had the disease your tribe just got cured of. I found the cure after she had had the illness for four and a half days. I gave it to her, but by then it was too late. She died two hours later."

Lexis and I were speechless. We had thought she was alive! She was the one who had told me the stories when I was young, the only thing I had left of her was that donkey.

"But that's not what I came over to talk to you about. I wanted to apologize. Your mom and I didn't mean to abandon you. The Tayope Marubos took you guys because some tribes take the offspring of their enemies so there are not as many enemies.  They didn't know that the place they put you was the Cayme tribes, because they had just moved there. The Cayme tribe took you in because they didn't take offspring like the Tayope. The Tayope took you in but didn't recognize you, at the time their population was dwindling. They all knew you were brothers but they never told you because of something Mako said. Also-" But Lexis and I were off to Mako in the blink of an eye.
