Chapter 4

Willow

My thoughts were racing so quickly I could hardly keep up with them. Fun? What kind of fun? I doubt anything he had in mind would be fun for me. The sexual kind of fun? Were they going to eat me? Torture me?

I shifted uneasily in my seat from all the possibility's. Braving a glance at Lucien, I catch sight of his sadistic smirk. He's getting amusement from my fear. I don't know why that sickens me so much, what else should I expect from vampires?

"Your fear smells so delicious pet, It almost smells better than your blood." Lucien purrs, making a show of sniffing the air.

I wipe my sweaty palms on my thighs and try to control my erratic breathing. He's really creeping me out and I don't want to give him the satisfaction of scaring me. There's no point since he can smell it, but it makes me feel better to at least appear calm. I doubt my fake calmness is all that convincing though.
"That's enough Lucien." Griffin growls

"Don't mind him, he's a grade A creep." Xander says in a light tone

"Total freak show." Rafael says, putting his arm around Xanders shoulder,  "We're the fun ones."

I suppress the smile that's trying to spread across my face. Who knows what Lucien would do if he caught me disrespecting him.

Lucien glares at the two, "I'm not the one who acts like a seven year old child. Thats not fun, its annoying."

"All three of you are annoying, now shut the fuck up." Cassius orders.

The rest of the ride is silent. Xander and Rafael spend it sulking. Cassius is on his phone the whole time. Griffin reads a book, sparing me an occasional glance. Lucien has headphones in. And Gabriel watches me the whole time with calculating eyes, making me squirm in discomfort. Having his attention on me was unnerving.

When we pull up to their house, if you could even call it that, my eyes bulge out of my head. It's a huge stone mansion with multiple balconies. Pretty flowers and hedges decorate the front yard. It's has an old structure but I can tell that they keep up with renovations to keep it from looking worn down.

"I'm going to show Willow to her room, the rest of you get ready for dinner." Cassius says in his no nonsense tone

Rafael and Xander pout, "But-"

Cassius cuts them off, "No buts, you will do as I say."

They both get out of the car with a huff, Lucien and Gabriel following behind them.

Griffin goes to get out but looks back with hesitance. I plead with my eyes for him to stay. There's no freaking way i'm going to be alone with Cassius!

Cassius narrows his eyes, "Go griffin. Now."

Griffin gives me a reassuring smile before leaving.

I look down to the floor, not daring to make eye contact with Cassius now that we were alone.

Cassius grips my chin, forcing me to look up at him. He has a furious expression on his face that makes me gulp in fear. "I'm only going to say this once. You will not hide your face and you will make eye contact with me when i'm talking to you."
