(Scaramouche POV)
Flash back

I kept thinking about what Y/n had said.

Why have you been avoiding me?

Her words just kept ringing in the back of my head, making is physically impossible for me to go to sleep. I hear the faint breaths of Y/n as she breaths in and out. I only assume she has fallen asleep by now.

I didn't sleep at all that night. I was only thinking about the one sentence. I waited until the sun was up. I sat up from the bed. And made my way to the door. I look back to see Y/n sleeping peacefully.

"I'm sorry..." I whisper. I turn around and leave. I look around and there weren't many Fatui Agents on Patrol. None of them were patrolling the exit of Port Ormos, so it was an easy escape. I kept walking out of Port Ormos, not looking back once.

The walk back to Sumeru City was shorter than the walk with me and Y/n. I guess she only slowed me down. I make it to Sumeru City. There was an Agent waiting for me at the gate. I make my way over to the Agent.

"Ah, Lord Scaramouche. You have arrived." He says. I roll my eyes.

"Whatever. Just take me to Dottore." I retort. The Agent just began walking. I only followed.

He brought me to the Sanctuary of Surasthana. I then saw the Dendro Archon, in a deep sleep. She was just floating inside of what looked like a green orb.

"Sir, this way." The Agent interrupts.

"Oh right-" I say. I follow him into through a doorway off the the side. We then made our way around the big maze. I then, saw Dottore.

"Scaramouche..." Dottore says with a sinister smile. I furrow my eyebrows.

"Dottore..." I repeat back to him.

"We will have two others joining us momentarily. But before then... Scaramouche, why don't we have a little chat?" Dottore suggests.

"What is there to talk about?" I shrug. "Unless you want to talk about where the Electro Archon's Gnosis is, then maybe I'll consider even having a conversation with you."

Dottore puts his hand out. I look to see that there was, the Gnosis. My eyes widen at this sight.

"Thanks to the Yashiro Commissioner, and the Shuumatsuban we were able to steal this from your little girl friend." Dottore chuckles. Dottore clenches the chess piece and puts it back into his pocket.

"What..? So you had it all this time?!" I yell. "Don't you know, how much time and effort Childe and I put in to find that little chess piece?! We tore down Port Ormos for fuck sakes! And it was here in Sumeru City this entire time?"

Dottore began to chuckle, then laugh. His laugh was laced with venom.

"Oh yes, I know. It was the perfect distraction for Childe and you. The intel Childe had received... was fake. I told one of my Agents to tell Childe that it was found in Port Ormos. You and Childe flocked to Port Ormos, almost in an instant." Dottore smirked. "I had you both dancing in the palm of my hand."
