Chapter 006

Morning was quick to arrive, you being the first to wake up as you lifted your head from Kazuha's shoulder in confusion. Feeling his head shift as he was leaning on you also, you quickly lifted your hands and eased his head back to your shoulder. You yawned, eyes still blurry from just waking up.

You decided not to move, letting him rest as you looked down with an embarrassed expression, not even remembering falling asleep last night. It wouldn't be long before he began to stir, his hair brushing against your shoulder as he moved his head and his soft breathes grabbed your attention. As his eyes slowly peeked open, you greeted him with a smile.

He blinked, not registering his surroundings for a moment before he slowly lifted his head up from your shoulder, muffling a yawn behind his hand.

Neither of you commented on how you slept on each other, instead quickly getting ready for the day.

And you were looking forward to it. The bathhouse became both of your priorities, and even though you were running out of food supplies and desperately needed to find meals, it was nice to feel clean. As you two made your way out and through the streets to the bath house, you had only encountered two Zombies wandering outside that Kazuha quickly handled so the sound of your gun wouldn't attract more.

Inside the bathhouse itself there were none to be seen. You two were quick to go into the building, locating the private baths, and instantly relaxing after thoroughly checking them for any hostiles. You both decided it would be wiser that one would wait outside and guard the other while you took turns, since one could get attacked while the other isn't there.

You stood outside the door of the changing room, patiently waiting as you looked around the building for anything to occupy your time. You would glance out the windows to watch for any Zombies passing and stare at the benches where bags of people's belongings still remained.

Past the changing room was the bathing room, so you two had a whole room separating you both right now, but there was no way any creature could reach Kazuha without running into you with how the structure was. Hearing a door open, you assumed Kazuha had finished and was in the changing room now to put on his clothes.

And after a few moments, the door beside you opened up, revealing the boy you were waiting for. You looked over at him, your lips curling into a smile, however they immediately downturned as your lips parted in shock.

'Woah...'

With him no longer having dirtied hair, you could see that in the sea of pure white strands there was a long streak of bright red. His face was clear and pretty, feminine features looking back at you with a soft smile. His long eyelashes curled and looked longer from the water and steam hitting them, and he overall seemed to stand with much more confidence as he felt refreshed.

Kazuha was... very attractive. Realizing you were blankly staring at him, you blinked repeatedly before forcing a smile on your face as you quickly walked past him with a curt 'my turn!', hoping he didn't see how mesmerized you were by his looks. The sliding door clicked closed behind you, Kazuha unable to even get any words out before you were gone.

In the lonesome confines of the changing room, you crouched down and leveled your closed fists to your mouth, your mind racing as you kept thinking about Kazuha's fresh out of the bath look. Shaking your head, you were quick to gather yourself as you walked over to one of the cubby's and began to strip off your dirty clothes.

While you busied yourself in the bath, Kazuha walked over to your bag and took out the ointment and bandages to wrap his hand wound. It left a discolored scar and was completely scabbed over, but he didn't mind it and was glad it was healing so well. The medicine definitely sped up the process and your constant attentiveness to it prevented it from getting any infections or forming pus. He was grateful for you— he truly couldn't believe his luck of finding someone as perfect as you in a world that changed people for the worse.
